President Charles Hall Appointed Circuit JudgeAppointment requires Hall to relinquish his position on Danville Public School Foundation BoardCharles Hall, a ten-year member ofthe Danville Public School Foundation Board, has been appointed Circuit Judge for the Fifth Judicial Circuit, which includes Danville. His appointment was announced by IllinoisSupreme Court Justice Rita Garmanand becomes effective March 1.tions of the Foundation.In 2009, Mr. Hall became president ofthe Foundation, and during his leadership, the Foundation has increased itsvisibility in the community, establisheda solid financial footing for the futureand has awarded over 350,000 inprogramming to the Danville PublicSchools. Mark is cur-Mark Lindvahlthe Foundation Board since 2011.rently the Choral Director for St.James United Methodist Church,and he is a member of the musicalWe wish them both well in their newpositions.Polar Express Continues to Delight ChildrenThe kindergarten and first-grade students, in what is becoming a holiday tradition for the Danville Public School Foundation, traveled to thePresence United Samaritan's Festival of Trees at the Palmer Arena tohear the reading of the Polar Express. Conductors and chefs went toeach school aboard the Polar Express (school buses) and greeted thechildren as they prepared for their journey to the North Pole (PalmerArena). Once at the North Pole, they were greeted by elves who escorted the boys and girls to their seats where Mayor Scott Eisenhauerread the magical story.After the reading, the children toured the North Pole to see all thebeautiful Christmas trees and wreaths on display and received a sample of gingerbread cookies.Transportation for this event was once again provided courtesy of theJulius W.
