6 ı Academic report UFV 2018/2019Letter from the RectorDaniel Sada Castaño«25 years committed to bringingout the best in each student».The Centro Universitario Francisco de Vitoria was inaugurated25 years ago with four degree courses: Law, Economics, BusinessAdministration and Journalism. At the closing ceremony of thatfirst year 1993/1994, the director of the Centre, José Manuel GarciaRamos, began his speech dedicating a few words of thanks to the44 professors, 42 administrative and services personnel and the 372students who put their faith in the educational project.Similarly, 25 years later, I give thanks to God who called us to thistask, the Regnum Christi and the Legion of Christ, to all those whoform a part of the University Community (977 professors, 160mentors and 496 administrative and services personnel) and all thepeople who during these years have put their faith in us and helpedus to become what we are today. To all we give our thanks and to allthe University owes a great debt of gratitude.The pillars on which the Centro Universitario Francisco de Vitoriawas established remain intact at the UFV: academic excellence,technical and humanistic education, internationalisation andpersonal engagement. This is an educational project centred onthe person with the goal of providing students not only with skillsand knowledge, but as an integral person, transmitting values andattitudes that will make them individuals able to understand science

Wemust understand the keys which add more human value to thevast changes taking place in the world we live in, and practicethem in the manner fitting of an institution of higher learning:hand in hand with science and with a profound faith in thehuman being and the aspiration to meaning and fulfilmentpresent in all men and women for all time.This is our challenge and our commitment for the coming years.

Part of the Vice-rectorate for Innovation andEntrepreneurship, the Centre offers free consultingand orientation services open to the entire UFVcommunity, particularly for those with an initiative oridea for an innovative or entrepreneurial project, eithertechnological, corporate or to create a new business.Our mission is to generate value in every person with anentrepreneurial intention, from creation to the launchas a corporate initiative or the first steps as a start-up.For this purpose the Centre has a team of professionalsexpert in the current entrepreneurial environment, anetXPSL of business mentors and a team of professorsand collaborators specialised in these types of projects.Services include: personalised consulting, training andaccompaniment through each phase of the project,including competitions and events with the principalagents in the current entrepreneurial ecosystem.ı Sytaca Project winner of the university entrepreneurship contestStartup Programme, representing Spain at the Junior Achievement EuropeEnterprise Challenge held in Oslo.ı Accompaniment of 25 projects, over 150 people served and trainingprovided to over 300 students in 5 workshops.ı Development of internal initiatives within the UFV community: 6juries for over 30 projects, start-up of the pilot plan at the FCJE for thedevelopment of the Framework Program for Entrepreneurship.ı Participation in lectures, courses, seminars and events onentrepreneurship at a national level.ı Collaboration agreements with public and private academic institutions,in R&D i USAL, UCM, UCA, GUESSS, Mentoring Spain, Madri d, DOT,Adventurees, Enisa) and UFV alumni entrepreneurs.ı Creation of the Entrepreneur Mentoring Network of the UFV: 26professors and experts to orient and accompany minds in 11 projects.ı II Edition of the course: «The discipline of entrepreneurship in 24 steps -–Disciplined Entrepreneurship MIT».ı I Edition of INTO Week: 8 different activities carried out by theEntrepreneurship Centre with the participation of 6 experts and over 60students and 20 professors.
