MASTER OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ANALYTICSEMPLOYMENTREPORT 2019

LETTER FROM THEDIRECTORGreetings from the Graduate Business Career Center,It is my pleasure to share the 2019 Employment Report for our Master of Science in Business Analytics studentshere at the Carlson School! We are pleased to report that 98% of our MSBA graduates received offers within sixmonths post-graduation. This last year, as more students are looking at quality of life when they evaluate offers, theycome to us with questions about benefit packages. This is the first year we started tracking vacation/paid time offand we see an average of three weeks PTO across companies and industries.MAGGIE TOMASDirectorGraduate Business Career Centermtomas@umn.eduThe GBCC held over 700 employer meetings, hosted 136 companies, and organized 190 events across nineprograms during the past year. Our coaches managed over 4,000 coaching appointments and delivered dozensof workshops. We strive to not only prepare our students well, but also deliver excellent customer service to ourcompany partners. As one recruiter remarked, “We love the Carlson School team and GBCC. Really appreciate theeffort they put into the partnership with us, as well as all the preparation provided to the students. The attention todetail of the GBCC is the best!”On a personal note, I have seen so much growth in the GBCC team and the populations we serve. Since I joinedthe Carlson team, we have grown from serving MBA and HRIR students to supporting nine different programs, including our MSBA, MSF, and Supply Chain Management programs. This year Carlson launched an Online MBAand our office is providing services to students across the country virtually. This widened scope and oversight ofnew innovative programs has allowed us to not only serve more students, but also connect with a wider pool ofemployers across industries. We love the dynamic, ever-changing nature of supporting graduate business students. In the GBCC, we believe everyone should love what they do. Our goal is to help students find their dream jobs aswell as to help employers connect with our hard-working and talented students.Thank you for your ongoing partnership! Go Maroon & Gold!
