The program is offered during allterms of the school year; fall, spring, and summer semesters or fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters. There are several benefits for students who participatein dual Enrollment: Introduces students to college-level coursework. Earning college credits while still in high school may enablestudents to graduate early and/or possibly even earn anassociate degree, diploma or certificate. Helps students adjust to certain aspects of the collegeexperience (e.g., classes, coursework, instruction, being ona college campus) so the transition from high school tocollege may be easier. Students who participate in a dual enrollment programare more likely to go to college and get a college degree. Students may be able to take classes that are not offeredat their high school, especially in subject areas they areinterested in for a potential career. Participating in a dual enrollment program demonstratesa student’s ability to handle more difficult courseworkwhich is something college admissions officers may lookupon favorably during admissions and recruiting.
