The society was found by Sri. Manjunath, Former EducationMinister in the State of Karnataka and Sri. Attached with a herbal garden withvarieties of medicinal plants, the campus is spreadover an extensive area providing ample space. Theacademic life of the students will be thrilling andexciting with the extracurricular activitiesthroughout the year. The institution creates anatmosphere to the students to involve themselvesin academic and research oriented activities. Theinstitution is having well established departments,Library and hospital with adequate experiencedteaching faculties. Seminars and workshops will beconducted regularly to enrich the knowledge of thestudents by the renowned personalities.It is indeed my proud privilege to introduce the Bapuji Education Society's “Bapuji AyurvedicMedical College and Research Centre” Challakere as one of the leading institutions ofAyurveda which had turned out outstanding practitioners of the science. Bapuji AyurvedicMedical College and Hospital was established in 1996 with a motto of spreading theknowledge of Ayurveda, the oldest medical science in the world. The institution pursuehigh skills and very good careers for students and will strive for their development.Curriculum of B.A.M.S. course consists of studies of human anatomy, physiology,metaphysics, Detailed information about plants, minerals and animal products as medicine,preparation of various herbo mineral formulations, diagnosis of pathological state of bodycalled disease, and their management and treatment. Various branches of studies consistsof Medicine, Surgery, Eye, E.N.T., Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Panchkarma with ascientific approach. This renders them the confidence to accept any challenge in theirfuture life.This is possible only due to the unconditional support of the management that makes theuphill task of running the institution smoothly seem simple. The two remarkablepersonalities and philanthropists Mr. D. Manjunath, the Ex – Minister for education, Govt. ofKarnataka and Mr. H. SPORTSWe encourage our students to practice yogaregularly to keep fit. Sports, games and otherextra curricular activities are given equalimportance for the overall development of thepersonality of our students. Lot of culturalevents also happen in our campus on a regularbasis.
