Physician and Staff ProfilesWe provide the opportunity for you to meetall of the physicians during your IVF cycle sothat you will feel comfortable with any of thephysicians at any time.Stephen R. Lincoln, MD, FACOG, is board certified in obstetrics andgynecology and subspecialty board certified in reproductive endocrinology andinfertility. Dr. Lincoln is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, includingintrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperminjection (ICSI), non-surgical sperm aspiration, Donor Egg IVF, and advancedhysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures.In addition to his extensive experience in clinical practice, Dr. Lincoln is the author orco-author of over 30 book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles. He is a peerreviewer of articles for Fertility and Sterility, the monthly publication of the American Society forReproductive Medicine.Dr. Lincoln lectures at numerous national medical and scientific meetings and review courses. He has alsobeen interviewed by national and local media on various aspects of infertility treatment.Dr. Lincoln graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1982 with a degree in biology. He completed hismedical school training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1986. He then completed aresidency in obstetrics and gynecology at East Carolina University (1990) and a fellowship in reproductiveendocrinology (1992) at the University of Louisville.Dr. Lincoln has served as a faculty member at three university medical schools: the University of Louisville,the University of Mississippi, and the University of Tennessee at Memphis, where he was Director of ClinicalServices of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and rose to the rank of Associate Professor beforejoining the Genetics & IVF Institute in 1999. He is a member of several national professional organizations,including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Society for ReproductiveMedicine, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, and the American Medical Association.Dr. Lincoln was named one of “America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists” by the Consumer ResearchCouncil of America in 2007 and 2008. He was honored as one of the “Best Doctors in America” by BestDoctors in 2008 and was featured in Northern Virginia magazine’s January 2009 and February 2010 list of“Best Doctors.”2

Sunita Kulshrestha, MD, FACOG, graduated with honors and a bachelor’sdegree in molecular biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in1990. She pursued her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School ofMedicine, where in 1994 she graduated in the top of her class as a member of theAlpha Omega Alpha honor society. After finishing her residency in obstetrics andgynecology at the University of Virginia, she completed a three year fellowship inreproductive endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.Dr. Kulshrestha is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialtyboard certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including in-vitro fertilization (IVF), donor egg recipiency, preimplantation geneticdiagnosis (PGD), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and intrauterine insemination (IUI). She utilizesboth her clinical experience and unique basic science background to optimize IVF success rates.She also specializes in reproductive surgery and the endocrine causes of infertility, such as polycysticovary syndrome (PCOS).Dr. Kulshrestha is currently an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the VirginiaCommonwealth University School of Medicine, Fairfax campus. She plays an active role in teachingreproductive endocrinology, infertility, and gynecology to residents and medical students fromGeorge Washington University and Virginia Commonwealth University.Dr. Kulshrestha has received numerous awards and honors and has presented her research at nationalmeetings. She has published widely in both the areas of male and female infertility and basic scienceresearch, in peer-reviewed journals and in book chapters. She also has been interviewed by local, national,and international radio and television programs on various topics in reproductive medicine. Dr.Kulshrestha was also featured in Northern Virginiamagazine’s February 2010 list of “Top-Rated Doctors.”Dr. Kulshrestha is fluent in Hindi and familiar with Spanish. She is a member of several nationalprofessional organizations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society forReproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the Endocrine Society, and the American College of Obstetricsand Gynecology.Laurence C. Udoff, MD, FACOG., is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and subspecialty board certified in infertility. Dr. Udoff joined the Genetics & IVFInstitute from the University of Maryland School of Medicine,where in addition to maintaining a clinical practice, he was Assistant Professor ofObstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. During his tenure at theUniversity of Maryland, Dr. Udoff was Director of the Residency Program inObstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis(PGD) Program where he taught hundreds of students and residents. Prior to joiningthe Maryland faculty, Dr. Udoff practiced at the highly successful infertility program of The University ofUtah School of Medicine, where he helped to establish the first PGD program in the Intermountain West.Dr. Udoff’s special interests include PGD and methods to improve IVF outcomes.
