Oxford Cambridge and RSAAS and A Level, FSMQ and Level 3 Certificate Core MathsFinal Examination Timetable, June 2022JUNE 2022Final version of the timetableChanges made since the publication of the provisionaltimetable are shown in red.Contingency dayThe awarding bodies have designated Wednesday 29June 2022 as a ‘contingency day’ for examinations. This is consistent with the qualification regulators’document Exam system contingency plan: England,Wales and Northern Ireland - elandThe designation of a ‘contingency day’ within thecommon examination timetable is in the event ofnational or local disruption to examinations in theUnited Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’standard contingency planning for examinations.Centres must therefore remind candidates that theymust remain available until Wednesday 29 June2022 should an awarding body need to invoke itscontingency plan.Starting times of examinationsThe published starting time of all examinations is either9.00 am or 1.30 pm. Each examination must be takenon the day and at the time shown on the timetable.Centres may change the starting time of anexamination within the scheduled morning orafternoon session without notifying OCR butcandidates must start morning examinations noearlier than 8.30 am and by 9.30 am and afternoonexaminations no earlier than 1.00 pm and by 2.00 pm.If candidates are taking two or more examinationsin a session and the total time is three hours or less, centres may decide the order in which to hold them.Centres may also give candidates a supervised breakof no more than twenty minutes between paperswithin a session. This must be conducted withinthe examination room, under formal examinationconditions at all times. This does not apply tocandidates with approved supervised rest breaks.Leaving the examinationCandidates must remain under supervision until 10.00am for morning examinations and until 2.30 pm forafternoon examinations. For examinations of less thanone hour’s duration, candidates must be superviseduntil the published finishing time of the examination.Timetable deviationsIf you need to arrange overnight supervision, theforms do not need to be returned to OCR but mustbe completed and held in your centre records. Whena change is made to the published starting time ofan examination, it is the responsibility of the centre toinform all candidates affected by the alteration.Exams Timetable ToolThe exams timetable tool contains dates for OCR, AQA,Pearson and WJEC examinations.
