Course IntroductionCourse OverviewEducational ObjectivesScripps Health’s Primary Care SummerConference was designed by primary carephysicians for primary care physicians andtheir care team and will present contentfrom their unique perspective. The 2021course will feature important updates ininfectious disease, stroke, and sleep disorders. Current treatments for migraine andheart failure will be discussed as well asdermatology updates and tools for reducing bias and creating an LGBTQ inclusivepractice. In addition to an overview of thehistory and current science of a variety ofspecialty areas, content will be presentedin a very practical, patient-focused manner relevant to the specific primary caresetting and challenges.After attending this live activity, participants should be able to: Integrate current trends in preventivehealth care into patient care strategies. Employ new collaborative care teamstrategies that enhance the prevention,diagnosis and management of variousmedical conditions encountered in theoffice practice. Effectively discuss with patients theirpersonal responsibilities in preventionand treatment. Access and/or recommend resources forboth physicians and patients to acquireadditional information pertinent to arange of therapeutic areas.
