Erik began takingmartial arts classes as a child beginning with karate. At age 13 he startedboxing and kickboxing and was competing by the time he was 14. In his lateteens he was practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a martial art and combat sportbased on ground fighting. Erik has been teaching boxing classes of all agesfor 20 years.
