CANADIAN PAIN CLINIC LISTINGPAIN CLINICS - CANADA - LISTED BY PROVINCEThe list was updated up to March 2015. This list is intended to provide healthcare professional andpatient advocate information of multidisciplinary pain treatment facilities (MPTF) across Canada.The list is by no means complete as we only have 88% response rate. The information in this list isbased on a search of MPTF in a project (STOPPAIN) and the MPTF listed here does not imply theendorsement or recommendation by the project researchers.All the public and private funded MPTF in Canada that met the following definition were included. A MPTF was defined in this study as a health caredelivery facility staffed with health care professionals who were specialized in the diagnosis and management of patients with chronic pain. To beincluded in the study, the MPTF (1) advertised itself as a pain clinic or a pain centre and/or specialized multidisciplinary services for the diagnosis andmanagement of patients with chronic pain; and (2) staffed with a minimum of three different health care disciplines (whose services were available andintegrated within the pain clinic or centre) including at least one medical speciality. Examples would be a MPTF staffed with anesthesiologist, familyphysician and nurse; or a MPTF with neurologist, acupuncturist and nurse.
