When we are faced with schooldelays, closures and/or emergencies, phone calls will bemade to your home, cell phone and/or work numbers asindicated. Parentsplease note students should know and have memorized theirstreet address and housing plan. The secondary activity busdoes not go into housing developments as it stays on mainroads within the district. These buses depart Seneca Valleysecondary schools in Jackson Township, Monday throughFriday, at 5:15 PM. Please be sure thefiler includes the disclaimer, “This is not a Seneca Valleysponsored event.” SVTVEMERGENCY/INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICEThe Seneca Valley School District willmake every effort to close or delayschool by 5:30 AM of the affectedschool day. Delays that turn intoclosures will be made by 7:30 AM ofthe affected day. Please know thatearly dismissals will be avoidedwhenever possible, but if necessary, will be made by 11AM of the affected day. When Seneca Valley has a closingor delay, the district will first utilize, a parent notificationsystem, which will be programmed to call the primaryphone number as listed for each child. In an emergencysituation or in the event that the district goes from a twohour delay to a closure, an emergency call will be sent tothe primary and secondary numbers, as provided, so theinformation reaches all those affected by the emergencyor change in status. E-mails may be used to provide followup information.recording devices, will post a notification in clear sightso driver and passengers understand their actions andcommunication may be recorded. The audio and or videorecording will not be operating if the vehicle is used forother purposes not school related.REGISTERING FOR SCHOOLPRESCHOOL (Ages 3-5) A preschoolprogram is offered through theFamily and Consumer ScienceDepartment of the senior highschool. The program runs onWednesdays, Thursdays and Fridaysfrom October through May. SessionI is 8:30-10:30 AM and Session II is 11:30 AM-1:30 PM.Cost is 180/year. Children must live in the district orhave parents who work for Seneca Valley. Children mustbe toilet trained and three years of age on or beforeSeptember 1.
