Employee Level Exemption from Federal Income Tax Withholding:– IRS Form W-4 provides employees with the option (if certaincriteria are met) of claiming that they are exempt from federalincome tax withholding. This exemption remains in effect only for alimited period of time. For employees who claimed exempt in 2014,the exemption expires as of February 17, 2015.
