APRIL 25, 2022Congratulations, Jan Moulden!Congratulations to Jan Moulden, RN, one of our fabulous ICU nurses, that has been with T.J. for almost 32years. Jan is the recipient of the 1st Quarter 2022 Daisy Award.Jan's Daisy Award nomination was received from a patient’s family member who wrote the following letter:My mother was admitted to T.J. in October 2021. She was ona ventilator and unresponsive for the first four days. Once offthe vent, she was still not responsive. From the first day thatJan was her nurse, we knew she was special. She loved onMama, went out of her way to make certain she was not onlytaken care of but comfortable, talked to, and loved on whenwe were there and when we weren’t. It was beyond obviouswhen we arrived each day if Jan was her nurse. Then whatwe can only describe as a miracle, we arrived and Mamaspoke the word “hey”! Jan had been working diligently allthat day on this to greet us! I cried, hit the floor thanking Godfor this miracle and Jan. It’s been 3 days now since Mamaspoke and she was moved from the ICU. Jan went with us forthe move and Mama was able to greet her new nurse with “Iam here”! Guess who helped her with this? Yes, Jan! I criedagain, so did Jan. I am so thankful for her loving spirit and Itruly believe Jan is why Mama has made such improvementin such a short time. Jan will always hold a special place inmy Daddy’s and my Sister’s hearts. She is truly the best nursewe have ever had the pleasure of having care for any of ourfamily.Way to go, Jan! Keep up the great work!
