Insurance Services Office, Inc., 2012Page 3 of 53

(b) Subject to Paragraph (3)(a) above, the amount we will pay for debrisremoval expense is limited to 25% ofthe sum of the deductible plus theamount that we pay for directphysical loss or damage to theCovered Property that has sustainedloss or damage. However, if noCovered Property has sustaineddirect physical loss or damage, themost we will pay for removal ofdebris of other property (if suchremoval is covered under thisAdditional Coverage) is 5,000 ateach location.(4) We will pay up to an additional 25,000for debris removal expense, for eachlocation, in any one occurrence ofphysical loss or damage to CoveredProperty, if one or both of the followingcircumstances apply:(a) The total of the actual debris removalexpense plus the amount we pay fordirect physical loss or damageexceeds the Limit of Insurance onthe Covered Property that hassustained loss or damage.(b) The actual debris removal expenseexceeds 25% of the sum of thedeductible plus the amount that wepay for direct physical loss ordamage to the Covered Property thathas sustained loss or damage. Therefore, if Paragraphs (4)(a) and/or(4)(b) apply, our total payment for directphysical loss or damage and debrisremoval expense may reach but willnever exceed the Limit of Insurance onthe Covered Property that has sustainedloss or damage, plus 25,000.(5) ExamplesExample 1Limit of Insurance 90,000Amount of Deductible 500Amount of Loss 50,000Amount of Loss Payable 49,500( 50,000 – 500)Debris Removal Expense 10,000Debris Removal ExpensePayable 10,000( 10,000 is 20% of 50,000)Page 4 of 53The debris removal expense is less than25% of the sum of the loss payable plusthe deductible. The sum of the losspayable and the debris removal expense( 49,500 10,000 59,500) is lessthan the Limit of Insurance. Therefore, the full amount of debris removalexpense is payable in accordance withthe terms of Paragraph (3).Example 2Limit of Insurance 90,000Amount of Deductible 500Amount of Loss 80,000Amount of Loss Payable 79,500( 80,000 – 500)Debris Removal Expense 40,000Debris Removal ExpensePayableBasic Amount 10,500Additional Amount 25,000The basic amount payable for debrisremoval expense under the terms ofParagraph (3) is calculated as follows: 80,000 ( 79,500 500) x .25 20,000; capped at 10,500. The capapplies because the sum of the losspayable ( 79,500) and the basic amountpayable for debris removal expense( 10,500) cannot exceed the Limit ofInsurance ( 90,000).The additional amount payable fordebris removal expense is provided inaccordance with the terms of Paragraph(4), because the debris removalexpense ( 40,000) exceeds 25% of theloss payable plus the deductible( 40,000 is 50% of 80,000), andbecause the sum of the loss payableand debris removal expense ( 79,500 40,000 119,500) would exceed theLimit of Insurance ( 90,000). Theadditional amount of covered debrisremoval expense is 25,000, themaximum payable under Paragraph (4).Thus, the total payable for debrisremoval expense in this example is 35,500; 4,500 of the debris removalexpense is not covered. Insurance Services Office, Inc., 2012BP 00 03 07 13

b. Preservation Of PropertyIf it is necessary to move Covered Propertyfrom the described premises to preserve itfrom loss or damage by a Covered Causeof Loss, we will pay for any direct physicalloss of or damage to that property:(1) While it is being moved or whiletemporarily stored at another location;and(2) Only if the loss or damage occurs within30 days after the property is first moved.c. Fire Department Service ChargeWhen the fire department is called to saveor protect Covered Property from aCovered Cause of Loss, we will pay up to 2,500 for service at each premisesdescribed in the Declarations, unless adifferent limit is shown in the Declarations.Such limit is the most we will payregardless of the number of responding firedepartments or fire units, and regardless ofthe number or type of services performed. This Additional Coverage applies to yourliability for fire department service charges:(1) Assumed by contract or agreement priorto loss; or(2) Required by local ordinance.d.
