WelcomeDear ColleaguesOn behalf of the American Immunization Registry Association (AIRA) board of directors and staff, welcometo the AIRA 2021 National Meeting. The last two years have been very challenging for our community, andthis meeting will give us the opportunity to reconnect, collaborate and share lessons learned about thepandemic with other people who’ve been through it and understand the challenges.Our agenda looks different than previous years because there’s a virtual option for those who can’t attendin person. There are two virtual session types: livestreamed from Portland and virtual only. In‑personattendees can choose to participate in virtual only sessions using their own laptops.We’ll begin the meeting with a local welcome from Patrick Allen, Oregon Health Authority Director, and anAIRA update from Rebecca Coyle, AIRA Executive Director. Following Rebecca will be keynote speakerStacy Allison, the first American woman to summit Mt. Everest. Stacy has climbed and led expeditions forover 40 years and is an accomplished author.Over the coming days, you’ll hear from your peers about their work around COVID-19, routine immunizations,onboarding and interoperability, policy and workforce challenges, leveraging data, system integration,and more.I thank everyone who submitted content and volunteered to lead discussions. Your time is valuable andyour help making this meeting successful is appreciated. This community gets stronger by hearing fromand learning about each other’s work.
