The practical skills have beenbroken down into four major categories, of which the Test Control Officer will randomly select the prescribed number of skill sheetsper category using the matrix below. A minimum of six mandatory practical skill sheets, one live fire practical skill sheet, and fiverandom skills sheets will be selected.Live Fire TestingLive fire testing shall be conducted in a controlled environment that simulates a real event. Live fire simulations shall incorporate theuse of props emitting flames and heat, and shall comply with the applicable National Fire Protection Association Standards, RevisedCode of Washington, and Washington Administrative Code.Live fire may be tested on a different day or at a different location than the other practical skills. If tested separately, the Test ControlOfficer shall register the exam with the State Fire Marshal’s Office. The score for the mandatory live fire skill sheets shall be documented on the practical roster in the Live Fire column. A candidatereceiving a passing score for live fire at one location can be tested for the remaining skills at another location without having to reteston the mandatory live fire skill sheets, provided the live fire was conducted within a year time period.Firefighter I Practical Skills Job Performance Requirements (JPRs)SkillSheet #NFPA 10012013 Ed.SectionTasksMinimum Selection Required:6 Mandatory Practical Skills1 Mandatory Live Fire Skill5 RandomMandatory Practical SkillsFFI 15.1.2Donning and Doffing PPEMandatoryFFI 45.2.3Transmit on RadioMandatoryFFI 65.3.1Don and Doff SCBAMandatoryFFI 75.3.1SCBA Controlled Breathing &Emergency ProceduresMandatoryFFI 85.3.1SCBA Emergency Operations – Exit an IDLH EnvironmentMandatoryFFI 165.3.6Set Up Ground LadderMandatoryFFI 205.3.9Search and RescueMandatorySelect FFI 7 or FFI 8from this groupMandatory Live Fire SkillsFFI 235.3.10Grade Level Interior Fire AttackMandatoryFFI 245.3.10Above Grade Level Interior Fire AttackMandatoryFFI 255.3.10Below Grade Level Interior Fire AttackMandatory3000-420-076 (R 2/17)Select FFI 23,FFI 24, or FFI 251
