DLM Support Wait TimesDLM have two suggestions: if you call, wait it out or use email. Thenumber of emails are much lower than the number of phone calls. Thesubject in the email should be: DATA LOCKDOWN REQUEST. Thenin the body of the email put in something simple like, “XXX districtneeds to exit a student.” The Service Desk will respond with the secureHawk Drive link for the district to use when uploading the template(s)needed for the change request. Please direct your districts to theresources to use and remind them that it is against federal law to emailstudent level information. Districts must use the secure data transferURL, which they will receive. Materials needed for data lockdown arelocated at http://www.dynamiclearningmaps.org/content/dlr4

DLM Updates Due to the data lockdown that has occurred March 11,districts test coordinators must contact DLM for the followingissues:––––––Adding new teacher accountsActivating inactive/pending accountsAdding students – use the secure siteCreating or editing rostersAddressing issues with First Contact SurveyAddressing missing students DLM will only make changes based on the district testcoordinators contacting DLM. Contacts– 1-855-277-9751– Email dlm-support@ku.edu5

Illinois Science Assessment (ISA)http://www.isbe.net/assessment/isa.htm Mandatory (federal requirement)Grades 5 and 8– 5th and 8th grade students take the grade-level assessment.Grades 9-12 - High School biology (NEW 03/01/16: FIRST YEAR BIOLOGY STUDENTSONLY)–––––03051A000 Biology03052A000 Biology – Advanced Studies03056A000 AP Biology03057A000 IB BiologyStudents WITHOUT A FULL CREDIT FOR BIOLOGY I, FROM AT LEAST ONE OF theabove courses will test ISA this year.– Future years, students repeating a course that generated their only ISA score wouldtest again. PNP data will not be collected – Accommodations/Accessibility Features (AAF)will available to all students – AAF details will come laterOnline onlyDates TBD – targeting a window middle to late April through May12

Illinois Science Assessment (ISA)http://www.isbe.net/assessment/isa.htm Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Line Reader SA-accessibility-features.pdfGrades 9-12 - High School biology– Exemptions – proof of “not a first year biology student” ISBE will search SIS records for grades 8-12 from Fall 2013 throughSummer 2015 for a full year credit in at least one of the four biologycourses identified previously.– Also, districts may use the “Reason for No Valid Test Attempt” code 06 (Not in ValidCourse) during data cleanup for those that were missed during the initial rosteringprocess. All grades – Mobility impacts to testing ISA– Students that have started/completed a test, then move to a new school, will NOTstart/continue to test at the new school. 2015-2016 TestingPARCC16

Finishing PARCC Assessments Pages 47-53 in the Test CoordinatorManual have information on steps testcoordinators need to take after testing iscomplete.17

PARCC Test Irregularity ReportsSchool staff has 5 business days to submit a testirregularity form to the Student Assessment Division at theIllinois State Board of Education. Please provide details ofthe incident and what steps school staff took to correct theincident. School staff do not need to report minortechnology issues that staff are able to resolve andcontinue with student testing (e.g., students not initiallyassigned the correct test accommodations in the online testformat). If you have questions, please contact the StudentAssessment Division at 1-866-317-6034.18

Additional Orders (AOs) Please inventory and double check your initialshipment before you place an AO– Original shipments arrive 2 weeks prior to the test start date– Based on the test start date uploaded by SIS on Jan. 22– If the test start date was not entered in SIS by Jan. 22,March 7 was sent as the default test start date Pages 30-31 in the Test Coordinator’s manual. Pearson has already received several orders thatappear to be duplicates of shipments that are intransit.20

Student Mobility After March 4 Student Information System (SIS) and PearsonAccessNext (PAN):– SIS stopped automatically sending student update transmissions toPAN after the weekend of March 4, 2016.– Districts should continue to enroll new students in SIS and, beginning on March 7, must carefully enter new students directly intoPAN for testing, as needed.– See “STUDENT REGISTRATION/PERSONAL NEEDS PROFILETRAINING MODULE” for guidance, linked fromhttps://parcc.tms.pearson.com/, or contact PARCC Support at 1-888493-9888.– If your district has a significant number of students to transmit to PANon or after March 7, contact the SIS Helpdesk for assistance at 217558-3600, option 3.– PARCC Mobility Guidance Document is posted now.21

PARCC Mobility Guidance Posted on www.isbe.net/assessment under“News and Updates” Guidance addresses what to do whenstudents transfer out and in22

Ship Report District Code/Ship Report School Codein PearsonAccessnext (PAN) Hard copy Individual Student Reports (ISRs) are shipped to the“Responsible School” (Home School in SIS) unless a differentschool is indicated in PAN. Ship Report District Code/Ship Report School Code-used toship hard copy ISRs to a location different from the ResponsibleSchool location. Serving Schools must get permission from the home school toredirect ISR shipments. Home Districts still have access to ISRs in PAN if a hard copy isdesired. Students appear on School and District rosters based on HomeSchool.23

Ship Report District Code/Ship Report School Codein PearsonAccessnext (PAN) Setup --- StudentsCheck box by Student State IDSelect Tasks --- Register Students24

Preparing for PARCC - PAN Is test content cached?Check a session to verify connection to proctor cacheAre all students in sessions? Are student PNPs correct?– Especially accommodations that are “form supported” Who will “Start” your sessions? Are Test Tickets printed? Can TAs access Live site? (username & password)Do TAs know how & when to “Unlock” and “Lock”?Do TAs know how to “Refresh” PAN display?Checklists on p.12 & 32 of Test Coordinator’s Manual25

Preparing for PARCC - TestNav Do Test Administrators know how to access TN?– Will students use app or browser version? Do they have secure students Test Tickets?– Students using TN app MUST select Illinois Note: Only the first student on the device must pick IL, the app willsave that site for future users Do TAs know what to do if a student is exited fromthe test? What is the process for communicating issues to youand to TAs?26

Select the Correct TN8 site27

Printing Test Tickets Must print by session – how do you keeptrack? Reports– Operational Reports “Check” Online Testing– Session List This generates a list of all of the sessionsin the school/district– Printed report or Excel CSV28

Tracking Student Progress Reports– Operational Reports “Check” Online Testing– Session Roster This creates an Excel CSV report that canbe “filtered” by student “status– Can run organization and/or test– Note: 4 or 5 records per student (units test)can create a long list but easy to reduce withfilters29

Session RosterIf you leave “Test” blank you get all tests in the schoolor you can select a single test, “Grade 4 Math”30

Key Reminders Caching by session or by test now gives the same result. Test Tickets must be printed by session (there is no “PrintAll” function) Sessions must be started individually – you cannot “StartAll” from the combined view Sessions must be “Started” before the Unit “unlock/lock”will work A unit must be locked before the next unit can be unlocked(only one unit can be open in a session at a time) All students must be in Completed or Marked Completestatus in order to “Stop” a session31

iPad MDM-ASAM Issue If using iOS 9, use version 9.2.1 (NOT 9.2.0)–Just released version 9.3.0 is being tested There is a known conflict between the DRCprofile and the TestNav profile when using ASAM– If your MDM (AirWatch, JAMF, LightSpeed etc.) isconfigured with multiple apps that use ASAM(autonomous single app mode) profiles or havemultiple apps listed within your ASAM profile theTestNav application will not work properly/allow thetest to begin.– Pearson recommends that you remove all otherASAM profiles, only list "com.pearsoned.TestNav"within the ASAM Profile.32

3/29 Technology Bulletin Java Critical Patch Update April 19– All Windows and Mac OS X testing devices that areusing browser-based TestNav Recommended – not required– Warnings & pop ups iOS 9.3.0– The update to iOS 9.3 is not required; however,Pearson has verified that iOS 9.3 is compatible– It is strongly recommended that districts and schools whohave started testing avoid updating their devices until thePARCC window is complete. c-technology-bulletin.html33

Online “Close Out” You are “done” with online testing– What do you do?– How do you let ISBE and PARCC know thatyour students tests are ready to be scored? There are to test booklets to inventory There are no boxes to pack, ship and track All sessions must be stopped!– Easy if you have only one session, but at theschool or district level there can be lots ofsessions34

Tips for “Stopping” a session All students must be in Completed orMarked Complete status before a sessioncan be stopped. If you are going to communicate about this(tell others to do it) then using the filteredSession Roster Report gives you lists ofstudents to Mark Complete But if you have Stop the sessions, hereare some tips 35

Insider Tips – 1 Make sure any mobile students have beenremoved from sessions Go to Testing––––––Sessions (Show all)Select a group of sessions (or all)Students in SessionsChoose Combined ViewToggle on Secondary FiltersSelect all student statuses except Complete andMarked Complete– Mark those students complete!36

1. Select combinedview so you arelooking across allsessions2.Toggle onSecondary Filters37

4. List of students whomust be Marked Completeso sessions can bestopped!3. Add the statusesthat you want to havedisplayed38

Fix for Proctor Caching Issues Now easier to cache and see the progress You can cache up to 10 tests at a time Caching by test and caching by sessionhave the same result– ALL forms of the test for that grade andsubject are cached!! Form assignment now occurs only when asession is started39
