Chapter 1IntroductionThe PowerPass Distribution Module (PDM) is designed to operate witha 2500/3000 VA Eaton 9130 uninterruptible power system (UPS) andallows you to:S Replace or upgrade the UPS without losing power to your equipment(see “Using Maintenance Bypass” on page 27).S Provide surge protection if the UPS is not present.S Provide extra surge protection when the UPS is present.Safety WarningsIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSSAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSThis manual contains important instructions that you should follow during installation andmaintenance of the UPS and batteries. Please read all instructions before operating theequipment and save this manual for future reference.DANGERThis UPS contains LETHAL VOLTAGES.
