EPILOGUEA Note from the DirectorWhen I was approached to join the team of “Breaking Up IsHard To Do”, I was not that familiar with the show! But once I read the script,I was inspired. Reminiscing to all the songs and music of Neil Sedaka was likespending quality time with an old friend. I dare you not to sing along! It hasbeen an exciting adventure for the entire group and an honor to create and bringthis lovely production to all of you.Auditions offered people of various talents and backgrounds the opportunityto share the experience of trying out for a brand new, seldom-produced musicaland through long rehearsals, the chosen actors were melded into this beautifulharmony of skill, imagination, warmth and heart.Love will bring us together! Enjoy the show!—Lisa MilanesHarvey and Esther married and retired to Florida. They volunteer their shtick atthe Sunshine Manor in Ft. Meyers. They donate part of their American Bandstandmoney to a non-profit savings habitat for pink flamingoes.Marge and Gabe purchased and run the resort. They have 2 children, Ernestand Ginger, who also perform in the shows there. They have beautiful teeth. Margealso works as the town’s Dentist bringing bright smiles to the Catskills.Gabe still writes songs for Del, who is the headliner replacing Harvey. Gabeno longer “presses pants” for Del, Lois does that. They are married and raising 2children, Del Monty, Jr. and Sing Out Louise. The Band still plays at the resort, but only on weekends. With the money theyearned, they made good investments and Bob even purchased a chain of retirementhomes in North Ft. Meyers. The Quartet still sing at the resort because they all get free food, a free place tostay, they can still sing all their favorite songs and they look fabulous in pink!ACRONYMS/ABBREVIATIONS USED IN THIS PROGRAMAMTSJ American Musical Theatre ofSan JoseASMAssistant Stage ManagerASUArizona State UniversityATCActors Theatre CenterBBBBroadway By The BayBBSCBus Barn Stage CompanyBFABachelor of Fine ArtsCCMT Contra Costa Music TheaterCMTSJ Children’s Music Theater ofSan JoseCSCCabrillo Stage CompanyERMA Enid & Ross Maurice AwardFCTC Foothill College Theater CenterFMTFoothill Music TheatrePAPPalo Alto PlayersPRTPacific Repertory TheaterPHSPresentation High SchoolPYTPeninsula Youth MTWCTWVCWVLOYPTRenegade Theatre ExperimentSouth Bay Musical Theater(Formerly SDG)Sunnyvale Community PlayersSanta Clara PlayersSanta Clara UniversitySan Francisco State UniversitySan Jose State UniversityStage ManagerShady Shakespeare TheaterCompanyStudio Theatre of CaliforniaTheater In The MountainsUniversity of San FranciscoValley Musical TheatreWoodside Community TheaterWest Valley CollegeWest Valley Light OperaYoung People’s TheatreTHE CELE AND GENE PINCUS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPCongratulations to the 2010 Winner of this scholarshipJanice EngelgauGraduating from Leigh High School in San JoseWill attend San Jose State UniversityMajoring in Theatre ArtsJanice performed in our production of “West Side Story” last November. If you would like to donate to this scholarship, your gift is fully tax-deductible!215

And often, these companies will onlymatch contributions made to develop arts12and cultural programs such as ours. Herein the Bay Area, we are fortunate to havemany companies that have initiated suchprograms. Remember, matching contributions are not automatic. YOU mustnotify your employer of your donation, usually at the time you make it. If you areemployed by one of these companies andare one of our supporters, take advantageof this wonderful way to support oneof your favorite non-profit associations,WVLO. It isn’t too late to match yourcontribution for this season.PRODUCTION STAFFCo-Producers. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
