Qualifications of the LEP Education In order to qualify for LEP licensure, applicants must possess, atminimum, a master’s degree in psychology, educationalpsychology, school psychology, counseling and guidance, or adegree deemed equivalent by the BBS. This degree must beobtained at a university accredited by one of the followingaccrediting bodies: Western Association of Schools and CollegesNorthwest Association of Secondary and Higher SchoolsMiddle States Association of Colleges and Secondary SchoolsNew England Association of Colleges and Secondary SchoolsNorth Central Association of Colleges and Secondary SchoolsSouthern Association of Colleges and SchoolsApplicants must successfully complete 60 semester hours ofpostgraduate work in pupil personnel services 2019 Dynamic Interventions

Qualifications of the LEP Experience Applicants must complete three years of full time experience (or theequivalent to three years of experience) working as a school psychologist.The three years of required experience may be satisfied as follows: AND 1. Two years of full time (or equivalent) experience as a credentialed schoolpsychologist in public schools. This experience can be unsupervised andneeds to be obtained in the most recent six years from the time a personapplies for licensure2. A. One year of supervised professional experience in an accredited schoolpsychology programOR 2. B. Qualifications of the LEP Examination Once eligible to take the LEP Written Examination,applicants will receive a LEP Written ExaminationCandidate Handbook. On the back of this handbookwill be the deadline by which the applicant must takethe exam Eligibility to take the exam expires if the applicant does not sitfor the exam within one year of becoming eligibleIf the initial exam is failed, the applicant becomes eligible toretake the exam within 180 days. Qualifications of the LEP Examination Upon passing the LEP Written Examination,the applicant will submit an application for LEPinitial licensure.
