ECTC Faculty and Staff Handbook 2020-2021Welcome Back,Oh, how you’ve been missed! I just want to open my letter to you with a little story:Father and son Dick and Rick Hoyt have competed in over 1,100 races. Over 250 of these have been grueling triathlons.Rick is paralyzed with cerebral palsy. His dad does all the work to carry him to the finish line. Joined together, the laborsand victories of one are the labors and victories of the other.This story reminds me of your work with our students. The successes of your students are yours to treasure because likeRick’s father, each of you have carried our students to the finish line. All of ECTC’s staff purposefully and integrally play arole in this purpose. These are the parts of our career (and life) that are fulfilling and give us a sense of accomplishment. Iwant you to focus on this, on the good, as we pass through this crazy
