LInX Carolinas Current Status: LInX Carolinas currently consists of 74 NC, 210 SC,and 5 Federal member agencies, plus all of D-Dex Upon completion of the CRISS project in March orApril 2015 LInX Carolinas will host 131 NC agenciesserving approximately 62% of NC’s population and61% of her sworn officers The Charlotte Regional Information Sharing System(CRISS), formerly COPLINK, switched to LInX effectiveSeptember 2014. Project started with 49 agenciesand has grown to potentially 58. 90% of the project iscomplete. Project will provide a vast amount of LEdata, advanced analytics, LPR capability andComputer Based Training for new users to all LInXagencies throughout all LInX regions16February 2015Slide

LInX Carolinas Current Status (Continued): LInX Carolinas users now have access to law enforcementrecords from 1700 agencies in 11 LInX Regions and DDEX systemwide. LInX agencies contribute more than 570 million records and52 million mug shots From 2007 to-date, the total cost to NC taxpayers for LInXCarolinas, has been 113,000 During that time, 100% of the LInX Carolinas annual operatingand maintenance costs have been paid by the Naval CriminalInvestigative Service (NCIS). Funding is forecast to continuethrough 2018. Future funding beyond 2018 is likely. However, allfunding projections are subject to future appropriations LInX/D-Dex has been designated as a Homeland SecurityPriority by the Department of Defense19February 2015Slide

LInX Carolinas Current Status (Continued): There are no licensing fees for LInX users. Thesoftware is owned by each Region and the contractvendor, NGC, has no property rights to the software The growth of LInX Carolinas has always givenpriority to getting the most for every dollar spent.Special attention has been given to large populationcenters and agencies with large LE data bases. As aresult, LInX Carolinas is able to provide a data basethat represent nearly 62% of NC’s population whileincorporating 31% of her law enforcement agencies20February 2015Slide
