This garden onchurch property has been maintained and expanded by church members,community members, certified gardeners and Rowans students for the threeyears it has been in existence. Volunteer opportunities include weeding,harvesting at appropriate times, planting a winter crop and prepping beds inthe spring.We provide housing for homeless families through Family Promise of GloucesterCounty (Interfaith Hospitality Network). We help homeless families get back ontheir feet by supplying a hot meal and a safe place to sleep while they receivethe assistance they need through programs and case management. Alongwith other churches, synagogues and organizations, we take a turn in offeringspace for families four times a year. Volunteer opportunities include cooking ameal for the families for one evening during their week stay, acting as hosts foran evening and staying overnight with the families.
