Translational science provides clinical nursesopportunities to integrate theory, research,and evidence-based practice (EBP).(White & Dudley-Brown, 2012)

Transformational competency is the ability ofnurses to analyze and evaluate the empiricaldata for feasibility and applicability in orderto most effectively implement evidence basedpractice for optimal outcomes.(White & Dudley-Brown, 2012)

Translation of evidence includes a thoroughliterature review from the various level ofevidence to support the change in practice,evaluation of the research findings,assessment of the evidence for actualorganizational feasibility and applicabilitysolutions as best practice recommendations.(White & Dudley-Brown, 2012)
