He is the 29th head coach in program history. Waddle,a 2003 graduate of Wittenberg University, spent eight seasons as an assistantcoach at his alma mater, including the last seven as the defensive coordinatorprior to coming to Marietta. The Tigers won four North Coast Athletic Conferencechampionships and made four trips to the NCAA tournament during Waddle’s timeat Wittenberg. Waddle was named the OAC Coach of the Year in 2017 after leading the Pioneers’ to their first winning season since 2006. Waddle’s career recordis 25-41 in his six-plus seasons as Marietta’s head coach.John Carroll’s Rick Finotti is in his 3rd season as the head coach of the BlueStreak football program. Finotti, a 1995 graduate of Cleveland State University,compiled a 62-15 record as head coach at Lakewood St. Edward High School.He led St. Edward to Ohio Division I state titles in 2010 and 2014. He came toJohn Carroll after spending two years on Jim Harbaugh’s defensive staff at theUniversity of Michigan.
