Beach BadgesBeach Badges are required by all persons, 12 and over, who are on the beach. Badges are required fromJune 12th until September 6th between the hours of 10:00AM and 5:00PM.Fees:Season Badges are on sale from mid-November until June 5th at the Pre-Season price of 30,after June 5th the season badge cost is 40.00Weekly Badges are 22.00 and are good from Saturday to FridayDaily Badges are 5.00Senior Badges are 12.00 for any person 65 years or older, they must be purchased by thesenior in person with proof of ageBoat RampThe ramp is located at 10th & BayviewFees:Season Pass is 120.00 per vessel (including jet skis)Daily Pass is 20.00 per vessel (including jet skis)Commercial Season Pass is 200.00Tennis CourtsThe tennis courts are public courts and can be used by anyone. ALL players must have a current BarnegatLight season beach badge. If you do not have a beach badge the charge will be 10 per hour per person.Reservations are recommended, Barnegat Light residents can make reservations two weeks in advance andall others one week in advance. The courts are open 8:00AM until 6:00PM seven days a week.Prior to the start of the season, Barnegat Light residents can sign-up for one court at a set day and timeweekly during the season. This MUST be done by June 5th.Pickle Ball CourtsThe Pickle Ball Courts have been a great asset to our recreation area on West 10th St. ALL players musthave a current Barnegat Light season beach badge. The courts are first come first serve. Please refer toand follow the written rules at the courts.Skate ParkThe Skate Park is open daily from 9:00AM until 6:00PM (or dusk, whichever comes first). All skaters musthave a, helmet, elbow pads & kneepads. No bicycles or scooters permitted in the park.Beach WheelsBeach wheels are available to be lent out to any beach patron who is unable to walk to the beach or on thebeach. DogsAll dogs must be licensed and leashed. Dogs are allowed on the beach on a leash from September 30th untilApril 15th.Dog ParkThe ball field on West 10th Street is also a Dog Park. It’s a great place for dogs to run free and play.All dog park users MUST obtain a dog park gate entry fob (“Paw Pass”). Passes are free forBarnegat Light residents and for non-residents the annual fee is 30 and the weekly fee is 15.Applications for the passes can be obtained at Borough Hall, the Beach Badge Booth (in season) oron the Borough website. Proof of rabies must be shown, either with a rabies certificate or a currentdog license. Also, all dogs must be friendly & nonaggressive. Please be sure to clean-up after yourdog!DrivewaysDriveways need to be designated, you may not use your entire property front as a driveway. You candesignate a minimum of 10 feet and a maximum of 20 feet, the remainder of your property front may be usedfor public street parkingParkingThere will be no parking on Central Ave. between June 1 st and October 1st. And no parking of trailersovernight (12AM-5AM) on any streets all year-round.Lending LibraryThe Borough has a small lending library, located in the Community Room at the Borough Hall on East 7 thSt. Want something to read or do you want to pass along some books you have already read? Stop by andvisit our library. Bring a book, take a book, or both. Also, the Taxpayers’ Association has two small bookboxes outside of the Post Office on West 10 th St. that have a small selection of books, one for children andone for adults.“Pave the Pavilion”Purchase a 4” x 8” memorial brick paver for the pavilion park. The memory bricks will be randomlyplaced at the pavilion for you and everyone visiting to see. Additional copies &the required stickers are available at the Borough Hall & the Beach Badge Booth (in season). TVs,computers, monitors & laptops cannot go in the garbage, these items must be taken to the Recycling Centerin Manahawkin, all other electronics go in the garbage. You must make special arrangements for items withFreon (refrigerators/freezers & air conditioners), white goods (washers, dryers, hot water heaters, etc.) &metal items to be picked up, these items are only picked up certain days during the month. Please remember,NO plastic bags in the recycling! Any recycling that is not put out properly WILL NOT be picked up. Callthe Borough Hall for more information &/or to schedule a pick-up for the above mentioned items, MondayFriday 8:00AM to 3:30PM 494-9196. Please remember recycling is not voluntary, it’s the law!Digging Holes on the BeachDigging holes on the beach is extremely dangerous! Do not dig holes any deeper than your knees, do notbury yourself or others in the sand and be sure to fill in all holes when finished.Saltwater Fishing RegistrationThe State of New Jersey requires anyone 16 year-old & over to register for saltwater fishing. Registrationis free & can only be done online.
