American Catholic/Faith Formation UpdateMaine Catholic Women’s ConferenceWomen from Maine and beyond are invited to join together forthe Maine Catholic Women’s Conference on Saturday, April 6,at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks on 200 Sable OaksDrive in South Portland. The conference will feature Mass withBishop Deeley, dynamic presentations, adoration, vendors,and more. Gather with other women of faith to celebrate beingCatholic and to be renewed in hope and the trust that God provides! Teenagers are also encouraged to attend. Together with parents, our Family Faith Formationchildren Pre-K-5th grade provided donations of playdough, coloring books, crayons, puzzles, toy cars, dolls, action figures, reading & activity books to be delivered along with handmade cards,to brighten the day of children receiving treatment. Together, theyfilled 30 gift bags and collected extra items to be donated to thehospital. This is a wonderful example of how Faith Formationprograms can participate in service projects to encourage Catholicyouth and families to share God’s love with our community,neighbors, and the world. For 13days, these students will be trading in all material goods for aschool bus, sleeping on floors, a lack of sleep, lots of community service, and an amazing experience. However, to fullycomplete God’s mission for the people of Mound Bayou andits surrounding communities, the group must raise upwards of 35,000. Your free will offering is greatly appreciated.
