Water regulates the body’s temperature,digests food, and eliminates waste. The body loses water throughout the daythrough sweating, breathing, and urinating, which is why we need to replacewater loss by drinking lots throughout the day. This can help us stay hydrated!The recommended amount of water for a child to drink throughout the dayvaries based on age, weight, and activity level. Children under 8 years of ageshould drink at least 4-6 glasses of water daily, and children over age 8 shoulddrink a minimum of 6-8 glasses daily.
