Keynote SpeakerDr. Donna L. KnoellDr. Donna L. Knoell is an educational consultant and author who works withschools, school districts, and groups of professionals, to help improve theirinstructional programs. She speaks and consults worldwide in mathematics,reading-language arts, social studies, and science. Dr. Knoell is an expert in mathproblem solving, early childhood mathematics, children’s literature, contentliteracy, vocabulary development, and reading comprehension. She presentsnumerous workshops on developing number sense, fractions, and other essentialconcepts for the K-5 audience. She is a noted expert on visual literacy, and hasauthored two papers on the topic. Donna is extremely knowledgeable abouteducational resources that enhance instruction, and she frequently speaks aboutways to enhance instruction using trade books, periodical literature andnewspapers.Dr. Knoell effectively and masterfully designs and matches instructional strategieswith student needs and abilities. She has a passion not only for helping studentssucceed, but also to enjoy learning ---extremely important if students are to becomelifelong learners. Dr. Knoell is known for her exceptional speaking ability and forher high-energy presentations. She is a former classroom teacher, and she has alsoserved as a program developer and instructional specialist in a large, suburbanschool district.
