For us to be successful,we believe our training must be relevant, consistent and of thehighest caliber.On average, we have lowered course prices 15%. A few classeshave become right priced causing a very minor increase. We arehere to serve you, and develop your abilities to respond to a widearray of possible incidents.This requires a balance of theory and practical applications.Wherever possible, we incorporate hands-on training exercisesto simulate real life conditions and enhance an individual’slearning experience. When doing so, the safety of the studentis always at the forefront of our planning.Our permanent faculty is augmented with the best specialistavailable for the specific learning situation. Piskura, Director of TrainingConnecticut Fire Academy Acceptance Notices and Refund /Cancellation PolicyAcceptance notices with directions will be mailed as soon as programsare filled or approximately two weeks prior to the start of all programs.Applicants not accepted in a program will generally be notified within aweek of our receiving of their application.Seating is limited for many Connecticut Fire Academy programs. Pleasenotify the Training Registrar promptly in the event of a need to cancelyour registration. Not only will your refund be processed in a timely manner, but your seat can be offered to someone on the waiting list. Studentscanceling at least seven days in advance of a program will receive a fullrefund. Course content will prepare the student for the practicaland written examinations for Aerial Operator certification.This course is designed for the driver/operator of aerialequipment. The course begins with road handling and moveson to apparatus placement, mobilization and stabilization,elevation, various aerial operations and apparatus readiness. It isrequired that each student has access to the reference manual.This course alone is not designed to produce expert aerialoperators.
