The eighth commandment is, You shall not steal.Q. What does the eighth commandment teach us?A. God forbids not only outright theft and robbery but also such wickedschemes and devices as false weights and measures, deceptivemerchandising, counterfeit money, and usury; we must not defraud ourneighbor in any way, whether by force or by show of right. In additionGod forbids all greed and all abuse or squandering of his gifts.Instead , we must promote our neighbor’s good wherever we can andmay, deal with him as we would like others to deal with us, and workfaithfully so that we may be able to give to those in need.

CONFESSION of SINadapted from Streams of Mercy by Barbara DuguidHeavenly Father,Forgive us for accumulating riches and finding our salvation, joy, and identity inthem. When You give us good gifts, we are prone to love them too much and tocling to them, instead of thanking You for them and clinging to You. We rejoicetoo much in the wealth You send, and we despair too much when You take it away.Father, forgive us. Teach us to delight instead in all the spiritual riches You havelavished on us so extravagantly in Christ: the wealth of His righteousness given tous; the riches of His grace and kindness poured out on us; the generous inheritanceHe has earned for us by His perfect obedience and death. In Jesus’ Name, AmenASSURANCE of PARDON2 Corinthians 8:9 (ESV)For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yetfor your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich.”SONGS of PRAISE and WORSHIPHumble ThyselfCONGREGATIONAL PRAYERfollowed by The Lord’s PrayerOFFERINGPastor Doug KittredgeThe Lord’s Prayer“Our Father,Who art in heaven,Hallowed be Thy name. The Lord’s PrayerThy kingdom come.“Our Father,Thy will be doneWho art in heaven,On earth as it is in heaven.Hallowed be Thy name.Give us this dayThy kingdom come.our daily bread.Thy will be doneAnd forgive us our debts,On earth as it is in heaven. As we forgive our debtors.Give us this dayAnd lead us notour daily bread.into temptation,And forgive us our debts,But deliver us from evil.As we forgive our debtors. For Thine is the kingdomAnd lead us notand the power andinto temptation, the glory forever. But deliver us from evil.Amen.”For Thine is the kingdom- Matthew 6:9-13and the power andthe glory forever.Amen.”- Matthew 6:9-13“Where Were You?”- Jacob YeeDOXOLOGYPraise God from whom all blessings flow;Praise Him, all creatures here below;Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host:Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.(Children 3-4 years old may leave for Junior Worship—room 134B)SCRIPTURESERMONHYMNBENEDICTIONGenesis 6:9-22“Origins: A Great Salvation”Pastor Sean Whitenack#498 “Jesus!
