“Greensmoothies changed my life! “Hi! My name is Daniel (the Smoothie Guy) and I was in the same boat as you arenow.Four years ago, I was 60 pounds overweight. Due to lack of knowledge back inthe day, I tried every fad diet to lose some weight. But nothing worked for me.I was desperate and frustrated at the same time. I was about to give up until agreen smoothie recipe popped into my Facebook‘s newsfeed. The recipeclaimed that it burns fat in no time.I was not a fan of green food. In fact, it was hard to even force myself to try itbecause I thought it must taste gross. However, everyone was talking about therecipe on Facebook, so I decided to give it a try since I had nothing to lose. When I finally tried it, I was astonished of how wrong I was!It was delicious! BUT I was not losing weight. Quite the opposite, I even GAINEDsome weight!I tried more random “weight loss” smoothie recipes and nothing! After manyunsuccessful attempts, I began thinking that green smoothies were just onemore fad.Luckily, I met Health Coach Drew and became one of his private clients. By theway, you've already met him when he was introduced to you with the top healthbenefits of green smoothies.

“Green smoothies haven’t worked for me.” I told him.He explained that not every recipe does what it says it will and suggested that Itry his own smoothie recipes from his 21-Day Smoothie Diet Program. They tasted delicious and worked like magic! Soon after, I lost 20 pounds in 3weeks and 40 more pounds in a few months.I was eager to find out what‘s the secret behind his recipe and why did they workso well compared to others.„Smoothies do NOT help you lose weight but the RIGHT ingredients cantransform your body fast. You can‘t trust random smoothie recipes foundonline because most of them contain unhealthy ingredients that make youGAIN weight. And you don‘t want that!“ He explained.Four years later, green smoothies are still one of my favorite ways to lose weightquickly. You know, when the holidays make it all too easy to cheat!I have been having them almost every day. My weight has gone downdramatically; I’ve never had so much energy; and my general health is in tip-topshape.Through those years, I've gained a lot of knowledge about green smoothies anda whole food diet. PREPARE AHEADPrepping your smoothies shaves off precious extra minutes ofyour day, plus it puts and end to any other excuses that stand inthe way of a daily green smoothie.Fresh Vs FrozenThe general smoothie recipe rule I follow is fresh greens plus 1 fresh fruitplus 1 frozen. If not using anything frozen I add a half cup of ice.I don’t recommend freezing everything before, this will turn your smoothie toice cream and make it impossible to blend without adding more liquid whichwill water it down.Chop and portion fruit if neededMost of these recipes use 1 fresh fruit and 1 frozen portion. If using freshfruit you can portion into small bags but honestly it’s not hard to peel afresh banana. If you buy a whole pineapple though you may want to precut it so you have it ready in the fridge.Wash and store greensTake one large zip lock and put paper-towel in it to absorb moisture. Washthe spinach leaves and put them in to the ziploc. Store it in the fridge. When it comes time to make the smoothie you will just grab a smallhandful from the bag which is about 1 cup.
