Take 3 pieces of differentcoloured tissue paper(approximately 120 x140mm insize) and lay them one on topof the other slightly staggered.Fold in half (see diagram 1).DIAGRAM 13 layers of tissue paperstaggeredDIAGRAM 2Cut the tissue paperinto strips, stopping20mm from the fold2. Cut the folded tissue paperinto strips from the open edgetowards the fold, stopping20mm from the fold. Diagram 2.3. Print out the template on the nextsheet onto coloured card and cutout the square including the linestoward the centre of the square.DIAGRAM 1Feed the 4 holes onto thepaper fastener2. Carefully punch the holes markedusing a hole punch.DIAGRAM 2Side view - push the paperfastener through the centreof the pin wheel, througha bead and through thestraw. Bend open the paperfastener ends to secure.3. Using a sharp pencil (or push pin)and some sticky tack underneathmake a hole in the middle of thesquare where marked.4. Take your straw and flatten oneend down and again using asharp pencil/push pin and stickytack make a hole in the strawbig enough for the brass paperfastener to fit.5. Now the fiddly bit. Holding thepaper fastener in one hand andtaking one section at a time feedthe 4 holes of the square onto thepaper fastener. The square willstart to curl inwards making thePin wheel shape. Diagram 1.Curl the card to fit the holeonto the paper fastener6. Once all 4 sections are on thepaper fastener push the paperfastener ends through the hole inthe centre of the Pin wheel.7.
