1THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF REVELATIONThere are numerous thoughts and commentaries regarding thefour horses of Revelation 6. The Book itself, Revelation, meansto reveal or an unveiling. It is written for those who study thetext to understand without confusion. Thus those with ears tohear and eyes to see would find understanding and knowledge inthe text. One does not need high forms of education tounderstand the word of God. What one does need is arelationship with God. You may have a close friend that youhave spent time with. You often know what your friend is goingto do in a situation prior to them doing it or perhaps the samewith a son or daughter. Why, because you know them. Tounderstand God’s word you first must get acquainted with God.It truly was not meant for all to know but for all to understandwho study the text and seek God. Few commentaries are in totalagreement and some are totally false teachings that Paul warnedus about. It is not my intention to say this is so, or that is so. Itis my intention to plant a seed. Everything else is between youand the Holy Spirit.The Revelation of Jesus Christ as shown to John.THE FOUR HORSESPrior to seeing the release of the Four Horses, (The first four ofthe seven seals) John saw the following vision:And I (John) saw in the right hand of him that sat on the thronea book written within and on the backside, sealed with sevenseals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice,Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth,was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I weptmuch, because no man was found worthy to open and to readthe book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saithunto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, theRoot of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loosethe seven seals thereof. (Rev. 5: 1-5 KJV)
2Who steps up that is the only one worthy? It is Jesus. No oneelse was found worthy to open the seals or to even look thereonfurthermore who else could go to the right hand of the almighty“I AM”. This is extremely important to understand because inRevelation 6, it is Jesus who opens the seven seals. This is notto say Jesus is behind what is to take place only that he allowsSatin and ungodly men to behave as they choose. Rememberthe Book of Job, where God allowed Satin to basically do as hechose with Job but not kill him. Regarding the four horses, youwill see how God allows evil to unfold however uses evil to bringforth and fulfill his overall plan.The first 4 seals in Revelation 6 are about 4 unique horses. Tohelp us understand lets go to the Old Testament. In many waysmost of Revelation can be found in the Old Testament prophecythus lets see what we can find regarding horses/spirits.And I (Zechariah) turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked,and, behold, there came four chariots out from between twomountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In thefirst chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot blackhorses; and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourthchariot grisled and bay horses. Then I answered and said untothe angel that talked with me, What are these, my Lord? Andthe angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spiritsof the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord ofall the earth. The black horses which are therein go forth intothe north country; and the white go forth after them; and thegrisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay wentforth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro throughthe earth: and I said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through theearth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. Then criedhe upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that gotoward the north country have quieted my spirit in the northcountry (Zech 6: 1-8 KJV)The Bible has made it clear that a horse can be symbolic of aspirit as stated above ( These are the four spirits of the heavenswhich go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth) .Thus the 4 horses of Revelation 6 could represent a type of

Do not forget that the black horse goes to the northcountry for we will see this latter in our study.Prior to starting this study regarding the term the “The FourHorsemen” we need to clarify what a horse represents from aBiblical perspective. Zech 6: 1-8, tells us a horse is a type ofspirit, however a biblical symbolic horse also represents power.In biblical times a horse equaled power. Did Jesus ride intotown on a horse? No, because a horse represents earthly power.Often in the Bible and in this case a horse is synonymous withpower, a lot of power. It still is today. Have you ever beenaround some gear heads and hearing talk as; how many horses isshe, 454 pushing 600 horses, stock 327 with 300 horse, etc. Ifyou haven’t stop in at one of the local car shows in your areathis summer. This is common talk. HORSEPOWER! Wheredoes the word come from? Prior the combustion and steamengine that’s what power was. Horses! This is where many havegotten confused. Referring to the first verses of Revelation 6 as“The Four Horsemen” is some what misleading. It’s aboutPOWER, Spiritual Power. Four specific forms of power. Priorto continuation we need to verify what has been stated above.Forces of War: Throughout the course of Biblical history,horses were the mounts of kings, conquerors, princes andsoldiers. Riding a horse implied war, doom and victory. Men ofpeace did not ride horses but rode donkeys or drove oxen.Horses were such a symbol of army strength in Bible times Godcharged the Israelite Kings not to keep many horses. The Lorddid not want the Israelites to trust in their resources of power,but he wanted them to rely on Himself for deliverance andvictory from their enemies.Ps 20: 7 (NIV) Some trust in chariots and some in horses, butwe trust in the name of the Lord our God.Dt 17: 16a (NIV) The king, moreover, must not acquire greatnumbers of horses for himself.Ps 33: 17 (NIV) A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despiteall its great strength it cannot save.
4Isa 31: 1 (NIV) Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariotsand in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look tothe Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.Horses were etched into the Hebraic mindset early on asrepresenting the worldly power of Egypt and its armies. Thereare many examples in the Bible where a horse represents power.Hopefully at this point we can move away from the idea ofhorsemen and focus on the symbolism of the horse. Thissymbolism (horse) as we found in the Old Testament representsPOWER, also a type of Spirit, which can lead to forms ofgovernment, conquerors, famine, pestilence, death and war. Ifwe start the study with symbolical meanings of the text weshould continue throughout the study with symbolism and nottake things literally. Most all prophecy is symbolical. John wasin prison physically when he recorded what was shown to himthat resulted with the book of Revelation. John probably didnot understand what the Four Horses of Revelation were. Johnsimply recorded what was shown to him.We are given characteristics of each horse, thus allowing us toverify and discern the probability of our assumptions. Eachhorse/POWER, must fit its characteristics. We cannot go off ona tangent thinking we have an explanation for one, but not theother. Very much like a puzzle, all pieces must fit or it is notcomplete or, possibly not correct. Our Fathers Word oftenteaches with opposites, light verses dark etc. We might alsoutilize this thought process when we continue this study.Ezekiel 14: 12-23 is also helpful when studying Revelationchapter 6 for it states: God speaking (when a land sins againstme by acting faithlessly, and I stretch out my hand against it,and break its staff of bread and send famine upon it, and cut offfrom it man and beast. Verse 21: How much more when I sendupon Jerusalem my four sore acts of judgment.
5Are the four sore acts of judgment synonymous with the fourhorses of Revelation 6? Maybe, we should also beknowledgeable regarding anytime God stretches out his arm orhand it usually is referring to Jesus. Jesus is God’s right handprophetically thus matching Revelation 6 when Jesus opens theseals.Many religious sectors will not be able to accept the prophecyregarding the white horse in Revelation 6. However we mustremember prior to going forward in this study that the Phariseesin Jesus time were very religious. They read the Bible dailyhowever Jesus called them on the carpet many times. Jesusstated that a tax collector would enter into the kingdom ofheaven before some of the religious Pharisees would.Jesus and the Apostles warned us continually throughout theNew Testament regarding false teachings. Look at the 7churches noted in Revelation, what Jesus found against themoften pertained to false teachings. In Revelation chapter 2: 9 itclearly states there will be tribulation even in the church. Weknow from history that religious sectors have persecuted thespiritual church sense its inception, (Jesus time). Millions havedied in the name of religion. The inquisition killed millions ofpeople in the name of religion.Do not read over what Jesus stated in the first verses ofRevelation (what must soon take place) these things were to soontake place prior his return. Thus we should be able to seeprophecy unfolding as stated (soon) after Jesus made thisstatement. If we are in fact in the end of days we should be ableto see the signs.There are numerous books about the end times and the worldcoming to an end. Be very careful when reading such teachings.If its not mentioned in the Old Testament its probably not true.The best tool for understanding prophecy is the Bible itself.Luke 17: 26-30 And as it was in the days of Noah so shall it bealso in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank,they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day
that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came anddestroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days ofLot; they did eat, they drank, they bought they sold, theyplanted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out ofSodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyedthem all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son ofman is revealed.People will be living their lives just as they did the day beforeand the day before and the day before right up until the returnof Jesus. Just as they did in the days of Noah and Lot, theylived the same as any other day right up to when the rain andfire fell from heaven. Verse (29) above brings this forth bystating “ the same day ”.However, when HE does come back, You’ll know it! Nomistaken it, missing out, over sleeping, etc. I highly doubt thatHE will be the hippie Jesus (peace love dove) that some mightbe thinking of. Jesus is coming back to take back what isrightfully His. He will crush the Serpents head that now is incontrol of this world. Get ready for Kick Butt like you havenever seen before.Ephesians 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood butagainst principalities against powers against the rulers of thedarkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in highplaces. 7JESUS BREAKS THE FIRST OF THE SEVEN SEALSI looked up and saw a white horse standing there. Its ridercarried a bow, and a crown was placed on his head. He rode outto win many battles and gain the victory. Rev 6: 2 (NLT)We have learned thus far from the Old Testament a horserepresents POWER a type of Spirit symbolically, which can leadto types of government, conquerors, etc.We are looking for a worldly power, symbolically white, out ofall the colors white needs to be dominant. We need to find abow and a crown on its head. This verse specifically statedmale? Male dominance? He rides out to win many battles andgain victory. As identified prior, this power should be easilyidentified worldwide if we are utilizing the Old Testament aspart of our study Zech 6: 1-8 “ for this spirit walked to a frothroughout the earth.”Global influence with global intentionsOne minded spirit, my way or the highway.Symbolically white.Extremely powerfulWins battles however does not have arrows in its bow.Wields no traditional weapons of war however gains victory.Possibly male dominated.A mind set different than the other horses or maybe opposite.Take yourself to the heaven’s looking down on earth; do notstand in the trees looking for the forest.
8DOMINANT COLOR MUST BE WHITEThe early Christian church adopted the Roman symbolism ofwhite as the color of purity, sacrifice and virtue. It became thecolor worn by priests during mass, the color worn by monks ofthe Cistercian order, and, under Pope Pius V, a former monk ofthe Dominican order, It became the official color worn by thePope himself.Everything is White, even the transportation.
9Okay, if the Pope had a horse what color would it be J MALE DOMINANCEWORLD INFLUENCE AND POWERThe Vatican constitutes the central authority over the churchwith roughly one billion adherents. As such, it exertsconsiderable moral influence among Roman Catholics, inparticular, and Christians, generally. The Vatican hasdiplomatic relations with 172 countries - - more than the UnitedStates.
10At times, the Pope will be outspoken on issues with clearpolitical implications. We saw this with Pope John Paul II’sstatements and actions in relation to Poland and other EastEuropean nations before the fall of communism. Catholicism strategy is to bring ALL religions under thepower and influence of the papacy on the basis of unity, but isthis God’s intentions?It is not just Catholicism, its all Christian denominations underthe umbrella of Catholicism. Catholicism is symbolical becauseit is known as the mother church. If the White Horse isCatholicism it represents the corruption in all ChristianDenominations, thus aligning with Mat 7: 21-23 where it statesmany will say! Wake up, this does not say some or a few, itstates many!! Yes, many will be saved, however as stated above

Your salvation ispending on you, not a priest or minster.Mat 7: 21-23, is very clear “ Only those who actually do the willof my Father in heaven will enter .” Thus it really does notmatter if you are Catholic or any other Christian Denomination.The Bible is clear, “ only those who actually do the will of myFather”, the word actually brings forth that some will look as ifthey are doing the work of the Father, but actually are not.Could the first seal be Catholicism? We need to look for amighty sword (army) or (military). This power will take peacefrom the earth. This power will invade peaceful nations andcountries. Human tragedy, war and slaughter everywhere. Apower that is hostile to its own people. As identified prior, thispower should be easily identified worldwide if we are utilizingthe Old Testament as part of our study for these spirits walkedto and fro throughout the earth. 22A GLOBAL POWER KNOWN BY THE COLOR REDThe association of red with communism is rooted by the use of ared flag by European revolutionaries. The obvious symbolism isthat of blood. In fact, red flags were used in medieval times toindicate a castle would not surrender, and later by pirates andothers to indicate that, if they won NO ONE would be spared(the blood would flow freely).Symbolically Red

And I heard avoice from among the four living beings say, “A loaf of wheatbread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay. And don’twaste the olive oil and wine. Rev 6: 5-6 (NLT)And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beastsay, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and hethat sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I hearda voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheatfor a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and (see)thou hurt not the oil and wine. Rev 6: 5-6 (KJV)We know from the Old Testament that a horse representsPOWER, thus we are looking for a worldwide power. Thepower needs to be associated with the color black. We arelooking for inflated prices for three loaves of barley will cost aday’s pay. We are looking for scales and measures. The powershould not hurt the oil and wine.We are looking for a great power.Symbolically associated with the color black.Scales and measures possibly world trade?A one minded spirit, my way or the highway.We need to look for inflated prices.Welcoming to Christians (not hurting the oil or wine)Global power that is different from the first two.Take yourself to the heaven’s looking down on earth. Do notstand in the trees looking for the forest.To help us identify the Black Horse, we looked for the oppositeof Communism, our Father utilized opposites in the Bible oftenas a teaching tool. Planting verses uprooting, Life verses death,Killing verses healing and so forth.
42CAPITALISM THE OPPOSITE OF COMMUNISMIn our study it was very apparent that Capitalism is consideredan opposite for Communism. Most all our research putCapitalism on a pedestal when compared to Communism.However this is not our intent, for we are attempting to identifyif Capitalism could coincide with the Black Horse in Revelation.With a small amount of research you will be able to come to thesame conclusion, that Capitalism is the opposite of Communism.We looked at what our Father’s Word said in the OldTestament about the scale to pinpoint its meaning:Your scales and weights must be accurate. Your containers formeasuring dry materials or liquids must be accurate. I am thelord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Lev19: 36 (NLT)You must use accurate scales when you weigh out merchandise.(Deu 25: 13)The LORD detests the use of dishonest scales, but he delights inaccurate weights. (Pro 11: 1)The LORD demands accurate scales and balances; he sets thestandards for fairness. (Pro 16: 11)The LORD detests double standards; he is not pleased bydishonest scales. (Pro 20: 23)Use only honest weights and scales and honest measures, bothdry and liquid. (Eze 45: 10)But no, the people are like crafty merchants selling fromdishonest scales—they love to cheat. (Hsa 12: 7)How can I tolerate your merchants who use dishonest scales andweights? (Mic 6: 11)
43You can’t wait for the Sabbath day to be over and the religiousfestivals to end so you can get back to cheating the helpless.You measure out grain with dishonest measures and cheat thebuyer with dishonest scales. (Amo 8: 5)THREE LOAVES OF BARLEY WILL COST A DAY’SPAY
44A dollar today can buy only one sixth of what it could buy in1971. In 1967, future Federal Reserve Chairman AlanGreenspan warned that leaving the gold standard would leaveAmericans vulnerable to forces that would devalue everythingthey own.Compared to the White and Red Horse the Black Horse ismuch more elusive. Many think that the debt of the USA haspast the point of rescue. Once the dollar collapses the door willbe opened for the Black Horse to raise its ugly head. The problemwith a one world monetary system is who would regulate it?Although we can now see how the dollar has been significantlyde-valued upon its collapse “three loaves of barely will cost adays pay” or “you can not buy or sell.”HOLDING A PAIR OF SCALESDOUBLE STANDARDS AND DISHONEST SCALESAlthough some business transactions are considered legal fromthe government view, the question remains if our HeavenlyFather approves of them.Why does the cost of gas really jump 35 cents in 30 days? Somebanks can pay their tellers simply by the late charges they takefrom their customers. Have you ever heard the words “to big tofail” is this fair? There are television channels totally focusedon “American Greed”. The amortization? You buy something,a house for example for 100,000 on a 30 year amortization at 7% interest. At the end of the first 10 years you still owe 85,800. You have only paid off 14,200. That is right, youstill owe 85,800.00 after 10 years. How can a country be indebt in the amounts of 17 trillion dollars? Who is getting thisinterest payment? How can this possibly ever be paid for? Whoreally is the winner in the wars that have been fought? Thebanks? Every time you turn around it seems another BernieMadoff pops up. Many of us have lost thousands of dollars inthe stock market/401K? We always hear of the losers, whydon’t we hear about the winners, the money didn’t disappear. It
45ended up in someone’s pocket. We not only have the BernieMadoff’s but we have complete corporations that were totalrip-offs, (Enron as example). What’s this about bail the banksout, ah can we have them sell their cadillac’s and airplane’sfirst? By all means take their bonus’s away, but NO! I know ofcontract for deeds where 20,000 was put down on a home andwhen the home owner could not make the house payment theseller took the house back keeping the entire 20,000 put downon the home in only a matter of a few years. Then only to resellthe house again and repeat the same process and this cycle keptrepeating. The banking industry often uses 360 days a yearverses 365 days a year that normally most people think of.Why? You will be given many reasons for this but the factremains when a 360-day method (known as ordinary interest orbanker’s rule) will yield significantly more interest to the lender.Then the foreclosure market’s, enough said, you get the idea.I’m not slamming Capitalism for there are many positives in ithowever there is a dark side of Capitalism that the Black Horsemight be evolving out of. We easily found 9 verses in the Biblewhere our Father made it well known how He feels aboutdishonest scales. We certainly can see dishonesty today, somelegal, some not.

47FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEMThe first two objectives are sometimes referred to as the FederalReserve’s dual mandate. Its duties have expanded over theyears, and today, according to official Federal Reservedocumentation, include conducting the nation’s monetarypolicy, supervising and regulating banking institutions,maintaining the stability of the financial system and providingfinancial services to depository institutions, the U.S.government, and foreign official institutions.The Federal Reserve has POWER, they tell our countrywhat to do, just as your banker tells you what you can orcannot do financially.
