From the Pastor:COFFEEOLOGY: Espresso yourself. Stay grounded. Better latte than never.Take life one cup at a time. Take time to smell the coffee.I like coffee. I like this meme as well. I remember a time when I thought itwould be a good idea to give up coffee for Lent. I started out on Ash Wednesday Fr. Joe Campionwith a firm resolve. And then the headaches came. And then irritability set in. By Friday, thereading for the day asked the question— “Is this what I want from your fasting? That it leadsto quarreling and fighting? God spoke to me. So, for the sake of my staff at All Saints Churchin New Orleans, I resumed drinking coffee. We have Community Coffee right across the street from St. Edmond Church. It’s a nice placewith good products and a calm atmosphere. Starting on Sunday, January 9th, the atrium at St.Edmond Administration building will be open from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm. Every Sundaycoffee will be provided for those who want to gather to either chat or just read a good book. Our library will also have books provided for those who might want to relax with somereligious reading material. We will have parishioners on hand to volunteer to be present in the atrium to make coffee. Please consider coming to meet one another or to come with friends to grab a cup of coffee.Part of our mission at St. Edmond Church is to do our part to inculcate a spirit of hospitality.Friendliness goes a long was to attract people to a church.I also like this meme as well: “A new study found that people who take their coffee black aremore likely to exhibit psychopathic traits. And people who order quad shot, non-fat, vanillasoy, extra foam, light whip with caramel drizzle are likely to be their victims.”I take my coffee with cream and sugar. In St. Edmond,Fr. Joe
