Hello Friends of Poky!My name is Fredrick Killian, I typically go by “PK” or Pastor K, a name given to me when Istarted my career in ministry being a prison and jail pastor. I am blessed and honored to be yournew pastor here at Hope United Methodist Church. I am married to an amazing, wonderful Godlypartner named Tanya and we have 5 amazing on fire for Jesus, children. Our son Michael is 23 andlives and missions in Tennessee, our future son-in law John is 21 and lives with our daughter Emma,21, in Ames with our other daughter Taiylor who is 20. Our two youngest sons, Elijah, 19, andGabriel, 18 will be moving with us to Pocahontas in June. I was born in Wyoming and lived thereand spent summers in California giving me a great mixture of midwestern cowboy and a streetcred surfing Cali kid .I am currently finishing my Masters in Theology at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas.I truly love to teach, preach and live out God’s Word. I’m also a big fan of John Wesley and hiswritings. I would say my ministry style is anti-religion and pro relationship and I love to meet peoplewhere they are at not where society thinks they need to be. I am a proprietor of God’s love for alland to hate the sin not the sinner.I have many passions in my life. I thoroughly enjoy cooking with my wife, reading, sports, avid outdoorsman, camping, fishing, prepping, gun collecting, martial arts, grilling and smokingmeats, and most definitely love a good day of wind therapy (riding motorcycles). However, mygreatest passion is spending quality time with my family and sharing the word of God. We are acrazy, loud and a bit wild Irish family and you better believe the St Patrick’s Day is HUGE in ourhouse.I long for everyone to know how amazing and awesome our Triune God is and hope to helpequip the church to shine brightly with this truth in our world.May the Lord bless us on this new journey!GGYB (Gods Got Your Back)Gods love and grace to you all,PK
