DIVINE MERCYTaken from Saint Faustina’s DiaryFilled with a Certain StrengthMeditation:Suddenly I saw the Lord interiorly, and Hesaid to me, Fear not, My daughter; I amwith you. In that single moment, all thedarkness and torments vanished, my senseswere inundated with unspeakable joy,[and] the faculties of my soul filled withlight (Diary, 103).Satan always takes advantage of suchmoments; thoughts of discouragementbegan to rise to the surface - for yourfaithfulness and sincerity - this is yourreward. How can one be sincere when oneis so misunderstood? Jesus, Jesus, I cannotgo on any longer. Again I fell to the groundunder this weight, and I broke out in asweat, and fear began to overcome me. Ihad no one to lean on interiorly. Suddenly Iheard a voice within my soul,Do not fear; I am with you.And an unusual light illumined my mind, and I understood that I should not give into such sorrows. I was filled with a certainstrength and left my cell with new courageto suffer (Diary, 129).OF YOUR CHARITYPLEASE PRAY FOR THEJulie Catherine McClelland, Thomas WelshSusan Kathleen Doyle,Victor Mathew Miller (Dusty), John Hunter,Elizabeth Ferguson, Colin Cushion,Marion Kearney, Joseph Nolan,Joseph Sweeney, Tony Bailiff,Amanda King, Fr.
