Can I add Crystal lite packs to the water?JJ’s Answer: Very few people LIKE plain water, but we understand isnecessary for a healthy, functioning body and critical for weight loss. Try toadd some fresh lemon to your water. Regarding Crystal Light, doesn’t thathave artificical sweeteners, one of the foods we typically avoid? Just checkthe label to see, as I’ve never used Crystal Light before. You have to makethe call on which product brands are right for you. However, a fruit-infusedwater bottle can be used to add flavor to your water as well.9. I love pasta, can I have whole grain pastas since you don’t recommendwhite pastas or white breads?JJ’s Answer: Whole grain pasta is healthier than white pasta. However, it isnot recommended that you have any type of pastas, rice or breads duringthe 30-Day Challenge.10.I don’t like the taste of stevia, are there other options like agave or honey?JJ’s Answer: Agave is okay in moderation, but if you're interested in weightloss, stevia is the number-one sweetener. The way to think aboutsweeteners is how much they cause insulin spikes because that determineshow much they will cause fat storage in the body. Foods are given glycemicindex (GI) ratings according to how much they cause insulin spikes. Stevia isa 0 (which is ideal). Agave is a 20. Honey is about a 30. Brown sugar/rawsugar is a 65. And white refined sugar is an 80. So that gives you someperspective. I have four friends who all use different brands of stevia, andnone of us like the others’ stevia because they all taste different. If youthink you don’t like stevia, perhaps just try another brand. one you like if you seriously want to get rid of body fat. My friends all use 4different brands of stevia and each of us doesn’t like the other one’s steviabecause the tastes are that different. So, try another brand.11. What if I’m allergic to a fruit in the smoothie recipe?JJ’s Answer: If you’re allergic to one of the fruits in the recipe, just leave itout, and add more of other fruits that’s in the recipe to make up for it.12.How long will my green smoothies keep?JJ’s Answer: It is always ideal to drink your smoothie the same day youblend it to ensure you get maximum nutrition from it. However, if you arebusy or for some other reason can’t make them fresh, then they can keepextremely well for up to two days in the refrigerator. A glass jar with a lid isideal to safely store your smoothies. Covering your green smoothies with atight lid minimizes oxidation and absorption of other smells from therefrigerator. Additionally, making the smoothies the night before is okay ifit helps you stay on track and save time.13.How many snacks can I have per day?JJ’s Answer: Learn to snack in moderation. Don't think diet or portioncontrol, think detox cleanse, so calories and serving sizes are not the focus.There are no hard and fast rules. But you should snack in moderation whenyou're hungry. Trying to eat by counting calories and serving sizes won'tcreate a lifestyle change. You'll just be on a diet for life. I don't know aboutyou, but I'm done with dieting!
