How To Learn AstrologyCelestial InfluencesOne popular misconception about astrology is that theplanets out there in the heavens cause events tohappen down here on the earth. Professionalastrologers that I have known, and I have known many,do not hold with these theories of "celestial influence,"that planets somehow make things happen to us.Instead, modern astrologers see the heavens and theearth as one whole entity, interpenetrating, and sharingthe same space and time, which in fact is the case.They do not see the various planetary configurations ascausing events to happen here on earth, but rather seethe earth (itself a planet) and all the other planets asinteracting in the very same space, and as sharingwhatever events are occurring.
