AddRan College of Liberal ArtsMatthew WinnekWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I have been one for the past two years, and enjoy being a part of SGA. Also I want to run fora committee position. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?Dining as a whole needs to be changed so it reflects food the student body on campus wantsto eat and will eat with their meal plans. I also think there needs to be more transparencybetween SGA and faculty we talk to, and I would like to see more recycling bins aroundcampus permanently.Wyatt ReiterWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives? After having had an incredible experience serving as AddRan College of Liberal Artsrepresentative this past year, I would love to return again to serve my class, college, anduniversity. Being in the HOR has allowed me the opportunity to see how valuable SGA is toadvocating for students by serving as a representative of their voices and I am passionateabout continuing to reach more members of the student body in this role. I find that myinterests in serving the Horned Frog community that I have learned to call home, have led meto want to continue my position in HOR. Additionally, I believe that I am someone who iswilling to give my time and effort to consistently making SGA a better program and workingfor whichever committee I am a part of.What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?Although I have a lot of love for our campus community, there are a few areas I ampassionate about developing, for the better. One such area is on-campus dining, a facet I planto continue to work in as we look to add a chain/local restaurant to our campus, something Ihave worked on as a member of our Dining Committee and am committed to continuedservice here. Additionally, I would like to see the Community Commons project continueinto next Fall even if we are able to live with less COVID-19 restrictions; I have found that ithas brought together a wide variety of TCU students and staff, while being well received byeach. Lastly, I would also like to work towards the addition of desk shields in certainclassrooms on campus so that students may have less restrictions in terms of distancing in thelearning environment.Berkeley DanyshWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives? It is a goal of mine to become involved in whatever community I am involved in and TCU isno exception. When I entered TCU my freshman year I was ecstatic to find different ways toget involved on campus and I am so grateful that I got my first introduction to SGA throughmy involvement in Frog Aides. Frog Aides has refined my leadership skills, honed in mypurpose, and prepared me for entering the SGA House of Representatives. I want to be amember of the SGA House of Representatives because I believe the student voice is vital tocreating the TCU community that makes prospective students want to come here and current

students want to stay. I want to be a part of maintaining this environment, and making itbetter. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout? While TCU already has the foundation of a strong community, there is always more that canbe done and SGA is a part of seeing these projects through. One project I want to getinvolved in is the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative. This initiative is essential tofostering a compassionate and empathetic community, so I am looking forward tocontributing to it in whatever way I can. I am also interested in working with the dining hallson campus. Specifically, I would love to help use our funds and resources to promote morelocal businesses, especially those that have been affected by the pandemic. Finally, I aminterested in the service outreach programs we have at TCU, and would love to incorporatemore tabling events and fundraisers for non-profit organizations in the Fort Worth area. Allthree of these projects/initiatives make me excited to further enhance the TCU community.Bella PantojaWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives? For the past three years, House has not only given a new set of leadership skills but alsoenabled me to change things on campus that I see as necessary. SGA has allowed me to growas a student, as a friend and as a leader. In this next session, if I were to be elected, I wouldstrive to help others grow in those same areas. I want to continue to serve the student body inthis capacity and leave a legacy at TCU during my senior year. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?1) I want to make service-learning a more important part of the TCU curriculum. As itstands, we advocate for community service and strive to be responsible global citizens but donot have classes that model this idea.2) There is a much needed shift in the SGA culture from a competitive environment to onethat fosters collaboration and member growth. I want to work on SGA internally to make thischange.3) Although SGA has made great strides in terms of DEI work and the R&R initiative, thereis progress to be made in order for the marginalized communities at TCU to feel as thoughtheir voices matter and that they have a platform. I want to help give people a platform tochange that.Catherine CunninghamWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I would like to be a member of the Student Government Associations House ofRepresentatives because of the impact that I can continue to make as a member. This lastyear as a member of the House of Representatives, I have had the honor of voting on someincredibly impactful legislation, and be apart of some amazing projects, committees, andlegislation. I hope to continue that work next year as a voting member of the House ofRepresentatives. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?

The first thing I would like to see implemented on campus is an annual blood drive. I amcurrently working on making this happen in my committee, but I would like to see thisbecome a project that SGA is apart of year after year. I also would like to streamline campusdining and work with Sodexo to improve our current contract and add more privatized diningoptions. Finally, I would like to transition completely to electronic student IDs. This wouldallow students less stress, since when they lose their ID they are still able to get intobuildings and purchase food from their IDs.Amelia BoatwrightWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I love TCU wholeheartedly, and having watched its ascent from relative obscurity in 2013 inthe seventh grade to the well-known university it is today inspires me to continue themomentum into tomorrow. As a member of SGA, I would be able to combine my passionwith that of other Frogs to carefully address issues and solve problems we face. I believe mypatience and organization will help me be productive in committees, planning out andexecuting what needs to be done. To listen to representatives from across colleges wouldallow me to become more connected with the diverse groups on campus and learn about newperspectives on happenings at TCU. I hope that by gaining knowledge I can be a betterclassmate, roommate, and friend to all, while representing the best interests of students at thiscontinually improving school. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?1. More streamlined advising experience – many lower division advisors are not wellacquainted with upper division professor advisors and have trouble communicating coursesequences further into the student’s career. Have lists of upper division advising contactsthat does not require a student to track down a point person.2. Utilizing common areas for more events – create a tradition of hosting at least 1 dance persemester that any student can attend. Establish a Scream Night in the Commons and WorthHills common area the evening before finals week to allow students to express their emotionsat an appointed time.3. Reforming the meal plan system in regards to Frog Bucks and Campus Cash – eithercombine into one system for use on and off campus or allow Campus Cash to be used forgoods other than food at campus storesEric JiombweWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?Leadership is all about influence and everyone has influence. Understanding how to use thatinfluence is what distinguishes better leaders from good ones. With this knowledge, I amdriven to not only use my influence to make our community better but to most importantlyhelp others become key partners in this cause. By everyone employing their influenceselflessly, the challenges that our society still faces will be dissolved one by one. TCU is nota perfect institution, yet, its imperfections are opportunities that can unite and mobilize all ofus to utilize our influence and make real contribution to eventually bring us a step closer toperfection. I am running to render my selfless contribution and play my part to cause. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?

Creating and supporting events that seek to merge different and rather unique social groupsinto the general society to foster more cohesion.Creating safe spaces in which raw, vulnerable and authentic discussions can be made.Reaching out to other minorities in our societies and making it easier for them to contributeand champion diversity of the TCU community.Breann BorlayWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I have been interested within learning and participating in the legislative aspect of TCU fromthe beginning of my existence on campus here, wishing to represent underrepresentedperspectives and groups of people on campus through amplifying my voice in the House ofRepresentatives, drawing attention to lesser-focused on topics at our university to furtherexemplify us to our greatest potentials in all aspects. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?I would really like to join work on diversity, equity and inclusion. I think it is reallyimportant that we continue hearing and factoring in perspectives from people of colorspecifically within younger classes at TCU, as their blind experience of DEI at TCU mostclosely reflects how far TCU is coming in terms of their initiatives. I would also really like tolook more into how TCU can be more sustainable than it already is, matching ourenvironmental practices on campus to how beautiful our campus is, and making our studentsmore passionate about environmentalism.Emi ShortWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I am interested in being a member of SGA because I think it is a opportunity for me toestablish change and represent a variety of student voices. My personal mission statement isto create an environment that prioritizes equality and inclusivity and assists individuals byadvocating for their voices, health, and prosperity. I am applying to be a representativebecause in this position I could apply my values in an effective way. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?I believe TCU has a lot of room for growth when discussing the conversation ofsustainability initiatives. I passionate about sustainability, but TCU makes it hard to live asustainable life. Sometimes it takes me 10-15 mins to find a recycling bin, some bathroomonly have paper towels and not a hand drier, you can almost never get your food on areusable plates and there is no composting (ever), or even recycling bins in the greekhousing. These basic things most other Universities have.Another change I would advocate for is through the TCU counseling center. The center hasamazing intentions, but it is just simply not big enough to support student's needs. I recentlyhad a friend tried to book a session who with the counseling office and was told he was goingto have to wait until after break because they were booked. This was during finals time, which is one of the most at risk times for people battling with mental health issues. Thisupsets me. TCU has created many initiatives to deal tackle mental health, but unfortunatelyon a college campus I feel as though there needs to be even support. 41% of college studentsreport dealing with some sort of anxiety, 22% say they feel depressed and isolated and 36%

say they deal with a crippling relationship (American Psychology Association). Mens mentalhealth is also an under discussed issue. I would love to see TCU create a workshop forresource specifically for men to help combat this.Alec CoussouleWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives? The foremost reason that I want to run for SGA to represent either the Addran College ofLiberal Arts or the Neeley School of Business is my love for TCU. As someone who believesin the idea that everyone has a voice, being that voice for my fellow peers in order to affectchange in our community would be a privilege. TCU does so many things right, but still hasplaces in which it can improve and become an even better institution serving the students, and by running for this position, I'd have the chance to take the thoughts of my classmatesand turn them into action for the betterment of us all while also serving the school that'sgiven so much to me.What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout? To state a sort of broad idea of what I am passionate about, it centers around the wordcommunity. All of us here that word tossed around a lot at TCU and I would actively work tospark ideas on how we can improve as a community moving forward. In terms of tangiblethings, I believe we can make some significant strides in terms of dining here on campus.Beginning with the hours at the KFC building, I would push to have all locations open formore hours than they currently are, as nothing is more frustrating than living in worth hillsand not having options half the time when only the press is open. Speaking of the press Iwould work to bring back the old menu with press sandwiches. Let's be honest, nobody eatsthe press pockets anyways.Spencer DyeWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?Ever since middle school I have always been passionate about giving power back to thestudents through student government. I was even elected student council president in highschool and managed to help bring healthier options to our schools' cafeteria. I want to be apart of TCU House of Representatives to be in the positions to help my fellow peers shapetheir college experience and promote a fun and safe experience at TCU. I want to be able tohold forums and hear my peers out on things they want to change or innovative ideas for ourTCU community, and then be able to help the administration decide on policy for our entirestudent body. I am not someone who once elected does not participate, I follow through onmy commitments and promises. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout? There are a few things I would like to change on campus. A few being creating wayquarantined students can select their meals from the BLUU every day, improve food optionsat the blue, and offer more quarantine activities for our students stuck in quarantine. Fromexperience I was quarantined twice once for close contact and the other I tested positive. Thefood I received was not up to the standards I hold TCU to. I want to create a system wherestudents can select their meal options for the BLUU whether it be pizza, sandwiches, or evensalads. I do not want quarantined students to feel more isolated as they already are with

online learning, there should be optional daily/weekly activities just for quarantined studentsso that they do not feel like all they do is school and then stay in their room all day.Michael OnyangoWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I want to join the House of Representatives because I want to represent students who feelunheard and underrepresented. I also wanted to join because I believe that we as studentleaders can work together to improve our campus and leave behind a legacy for futurestudents to build on. I believe that with the access to the administration and with feedbackfrom the student body, we can create more positive change at TCU.What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?Three projects that I am very passionate about to ensure the continued success of TCU areCommunity Engagement, Mental Health, and Academic Success. With CommunityEngagement, I believe that a more unified community can be achieved through proactiveprogramming, having open conversations with various student leaders and administrators, and having communication with the multitude of Student Organizations that representstudents of all backgrounds. For mental health, I hope to work with others in House tocommunicate what students need and to identify better ways of providing information andservices to them about mental health. And lastly, I want to ensure the academic success ofeveryone by working with students and administration to assist others in their time here asthey work to excel in different classes, especially when transitioning back to normal fromCovid-19.Luke FravelWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives? This past year in SGA has been very fulfilling. By being in House, I have had theopportunity to create meaningful change in every aspect of the TCU experience. I hope I cancontinue this as a representative for the next year. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?Currently, I am working on: a few fun projects for the Class of 2024, a project regardingstudent fine arts representation on campus, and future changes to student transportation oncampus and throughout Fort Worth.Gracie HarrisWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives? In SGA, I want to be able to be an advocate for students and make positive change oncampus in any way that I can. I’ve found that so many students don’t know where to startwhen it comes to concerns or ideas they have to impact the TCU campus. I want to be aperson that supports the voices of my peers and uses my own knowledge to ensure a betterstudent experience overall. Being in the House of Representatives is just a way that I air myown opinions as well as amplify the needs of my peers. What are three things you want to change on campus/ projects you are passionateabout?

Through my work in the Dining committee, I’ve become passionate about offering students awider variety of options and giving them greater selection. I’ve had conversations withfriends and peers about the food options on campus and I’m committed to leading projectsthat give us the opportunity to control what we can and improve the dining experience.I think that TCU does a great job connecting freshmen and showing them that they arewelcome and wanted but beyond freshman year, upperclassmen often have a harder time inthis area. I want to create opportunities to keep campus close and engage older students. Finally, I’m passionate about making sure everyone on campus is recognized andappreciated. As an RA, it means a lot to me when the work I do is recognized and I knowthere are many groups that improve campus life that would benefit from being shownsupport.Liliana OgdenWhy do you want to be a member of the House of Representatives?I want to be a member of the SGA House of Representatives because I want to be a voice andan advocate for all students. Brainstorming big ideas has never really been a problem.Instead, it has been the lack of actionable and tangible goals. I am determined to achievepositive change o

While TCU already has the foundation of a strong community, there is always more that can be done and SGA is a part of seeing these projects through. One project I want to get . After having had an incredible experience s
