Code of RulesGoverning Restricted Electrical LicensesHVAC & REFRIGERATION SYSTEMSNOTE:Only the holder of a Suffolk County Master Electrician’s License shall do direct line-voltageconnections or branch circuit feeder connections to a service panel, safety switch, unitdisconnect, and/or junction box.Any Restricted Electrical License holder that would perform work in the electrical fieldother than for the purpose of which said license was issued shall be in violation of the Rulesand Regulations as provided by Suffolk County Code 924.The holder of a Suffolk County Restricted Electrician’s License and/or Certificate ofCompetency issued by the Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs when said license orcertificate of competency has been approved and issued for the purpose of installing, repairing,altering or erecting electrical wire, conduit, devices and controls, may perform the following actsin their respective fields.HVAC and Refrigeration Systems1.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace branch-circuit wiring fromthe unit disconnect, or junction box to HVAC or refrigeration equipment.2.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace all wiring 50 volts or lesswhich is part of the HVAC or refrigeration systems.3.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace electrical control devices onheating, ventilating, central air conditioning, refrigeration systems equipment and componentsthereof.4.Only the holder of a Suffolk County Master Electrician’s License shall do allelectrical heating equipment and energy management installation, repairs and maintenance.Nothing contained herein shall be misconstrued to exempt any Restricted Licensee from any othersection of Suffolk County Codes 563 Article XI : Electricians and Plumbers and 924, or anyrule or regulation promulgated there under.Violation of any provision of this law by a licensed electrician may result in a penalty not toexceed 750.00 for a first offense and 1,500.00 for a second offense.P.O. Code of RulesGoverning Restricted Electrical LicensesIRRIGATION & WATER PUMPING SYSTEMSNOTE:Only the holder of a Suffolk County Master Electrician’s License shall do direct line-voltageconnections or branch circuit feeder connections to a service panel, safety switch, unitdisconnect, and/or junction box.Any Restricted Electrical License holder that would perform work in the electrical fieldother than for the purpose of which said license was issued, shall be in violation of the Rulesand Regulations as provided by Suffolk County Code, Chapter 924.The holder of a Suffolk County Restricted Electrician’s License and/or Certificate of Competencyissued by the Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs when said license or certificate ofcompetency has been approved and issued for the purpose of installing, repairing, altering orerecting electrical wire, conduit, devices and controls, may perform the following acts in theirrespective fields:IRRIGATION & WATER PUMPING SYSTEMS1.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace branch-circuit wiring fromthe unit disconnect, or junction box to water pumping systems equipment.2.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace all wiring 50 volts or lesswhich is part of the irrigation system.3.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace electrical control devices onwater pumping systems equipment.Direct line voltage connections to any power panel, unit disconnect or installation4.of a line voltage outlet for a time clock shall be done only by the holder of a Suffolk CountyMaster Electrician’s License.Nothing contained herein shall be misconstrued to exempt any Restricted Licensee from any othersection of Suffolk County Codes 563 Article XI : Electricians and Plumbers and 924, or anyrule or regulation promulgated there under.Violation of any provision of this law by a licensed electrician may result in a penalty not toexceed 750.00 for a first offense and 1,500.00 for a second offense.P.O. Code of RulesGoverning Restricted Electrical LicensesOIL and GAS BURNING EQUIPMENTNOTE:Only the holder of a Suffolk County Master Electrician’s License shall do direct line-voltageconnections or branch circuit feeder connections to a service panel, safety switch, unitdisconnect, and/or junction box.Any Restricted Electrical License holder that would perform work in the electrical fieldother than for the purpose of which said license was issued, shall be in violation of the Rulesand Regulations as provided by Suffolk County Code, Chapter 924.The holder of a Suffolk County Restricted Electrician’s License and/or Certificate ofCompetency issued by the Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs when said license orcertificate of competency has been approved and issued for the purpose of installing, repairing,altering or erecting electrical wire, conduit, devices and controls, may perform the following actsin their respective fields.Oil and/or Gas Burning Equipment SystemsFurnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace branch-circuit wiring from1.the unit disconnect, or junction box to oil-burning or gas burning heating systems equipment.2.Furnish and/or install repair, maintain, alter or erect emergency and/or unitdisconnect switch on oil-burning or gas burning heating equipment and components thereof.3.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace electrical control devices onoil-burning or gas-burning heating equipment and components thereof.4.Furnish and/or install, repair, maintain, alter or replace all wiring 50 volts or lesswhich is part of the oil-burning or gas-burning heating systems.All electrical heating equipment and energy management installations, repairs andmaintenance shall be done only by the holder of a Suffolk County Master Electrician’sLicense.Nothing contained herein shall be misconstrued to exempt any Restricted Licensee from any othersection of Suffolk County Codes 563 Article XI : Electricians and Plumbers and 924, or anyrule or regulation promulgated there under.Violation of any provision of this law by a licensed electrician may result in a penalty not toexceed 750.00 for a first offense and 1,500.00 for a second offense.P.O.
