When leavingthe vehicle, always lock your vehicle. Never leave children alone in a vehicle, or withaccess to an unlocked vehicle. Allowing children to be in a vehicle unattended isdangerous for a number of reasons. A child orothers could be seriously or fatally injured. Children should be warned not to touch the parkingbrake, brake pedal or the shift lever. Do not leave the Key Fob in or near the vehicle, orin a location accessible to children. A child couldoperate power windows, other controls, or movethe vehicle.(Continued)

Interior heat build-up maycause serious injury or death.CAUTION!An unlocked car is an invitation to thieves. Alwaysremove key from the ignition and lock all doorswhen leaving the vehicle unattended.NOTE: The Key-In-Ignition reminder only sounds whenthe ignition key is placed in the LOCK or ACC position.STEERING WHEEL LOCK — IF EQUIPPEDYour vehicle may be equipped with a passive steeringwheel lock. This lock prevents steering the vehicle without the ignition key. If the steering wheel is movedapproximately a half turn in either direction, and the keyis not in the ignition, the steering wheel will lock.To Manually Lock The Steering WheelWith the engine running, rotate the steering wheel one–half revolution from the straight ahead position, turn offOpening the driver’s door when the key is in the ignition the engine, and remove the key.
