One missionOur innovative servicemodels make surechildren and adults withintellectual disabilitieshave the tools to reachtheir true potential.The tailored approach to teaching at Mosaic in Axtell allows Noah to thrive in the classroom.Kris Johnson tears upevery time she talks abouther son’s life before hecame to Mosaic.“We hit our hardest spot when Noahhit puberty,” she said. “We knew thatwe had to do something different.”Without the proper support, Noah,who does not speak, became a dangerto himself and others.“He was just so overwhelmed,” Krissaid. “It got to the point that I couldnot be alone with him.”After exploring numerous options forNoah that just didn’t fit, Kris and her2family turned to Mosaic in Axtell’sschool. It was a breath of fresh air.“I cried through everything. Nobodyhad ever been that honest with us.”Today, Noah receives personalizedsupports from a team of qualifiedteachers and staff using the TEAcCHapproach, which adapts curriculato the learning styles of studentswith autism.Noah now learns in class with otherstudents and loves listening to musicon his iPod.
