J. A. C. 8:431 et seq.) applying forrecertification or reciprocity, and homemaker/home healthaides (N. J. S. A. 45:11-24.3 et seq.) undergo a criminalbackground investigation (CBI) by the New Jersey State Policeand the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Since the medicationaide certification is valid ONLY when you have a currentcertification as a nurse aide, personal care assistant orhomemaker/home health aide, you are not required to submitfingerprints as part of the certification and recertificationprocess for medication aide. The Examination Registration Form is found at the end of thisCandidate Information Bulletin. You must pay PSI at the timeyou register. Be sure the registration form is complete,accurate, signed, and that you include the correct fee. Youmust provide a copy of a valid certificate of completion withthe registration form. The second ID must have your signature andpreprinted legal name.IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL CANDIDATESDue to many complaints from the buildings‟ tenants, PSI (andthe properties which house the PSI test centers) cannotaccommodate any individuals other than the person who isbeing tested.PSI understands that test candidates are often comforted byhaving guests accompany them to their exams. It may also benecessary for a guest to drive the candidate to the test center.However, incidents from previous guests have promptedwarnings from Property Management. For this reason, PSI hasadopted the following policy concerning guests.“Person(s) accompanying a test candidate may not wait inthe test center, inside the building or on the building'sproperty. This applies to guests of any nature, includingdrivers,children,friends, family, colleagues orinstructors.”There are facilities nearby such as shopping malls, stores orrestaurants where guests may go while the candidate takes atest. Please take the time to visit those locations instead ofwaiting in or around the building.Also of note, many candidates have been arriving hours beforetheir scheduled exam time. This is not necessary. Please planto arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before the start-time ofyour exam. This will provide plenty of time for check-in.Thank you for your understanding and for your cooperation.SECURITY PROCEDURESThe following security procedures will apply during theexamination: NO conversing or any other form of communication amongcandidates is permitted once you enter the examinationarea. Please be advised that children, cell phones, calculators,pagers, cameras, programmable electronic devices andrecording devices of any kind are NOT allowed to enter PSItesting sites. Additionally, NO personal items are to enter4
