Course ObjectivesDementia Capable Care:Foundation CourseThe first day of training establishes thefundamental concepts and skills toprovide Dementia Capable Care. Courseobjectives include: Identify empowering paradigm shifts to create successfuloutcomes for those with dementia. Demonstrate an understanding of Alzheimer’s diseaseand related dementias and their impact on cognitivefunction. Identify cognitive assessments and screening tools toidentify best ability to function. Describe the best ability to function and key remainingabilities for each dementia stage, as defined by AllenCognitive Levels.
