The hand-over of twolifts took place at an open day atGenie’s UK Operations Centre inLincolnshire.The new machine joins the first185ft JLG 1850SJ boom lifts inEurope, with the second due fordelivery later this year. The SX-180features a five section main boomand 3.05 metre articulating jibwhich provides a 57 metre workingheight, 24.4 metres of outreach anda 340kg platform capacity.“Both the SX-180 and the JLG 1850are complimentary machines,”said Gordon McGruer of KardonKontracts. “Although they havesimilar working heights, theirworking envelopes make themsuited for different applications andcustomers will require one over theother.
