Immunization Clearance (to be completed before Orientation Sept. 3)The Department of Social Welfare requires that every student obtain a health clearance in orderto protect both the student and his/her clients from infection. Some placements requirestudents to have their health clearance requirements taken care of before they begin theirinternship – this means all vaccinations, including the first two installments of the Hepatitis Bvaccine (which is administered in three separate shots over a six month period). Therefore, itis advisable that students begin receiving their vaccinations immediately. Students whofail to get health clearances will have holds placed on their records and will not beallowed to enroll in winter classes. The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center has set up an online ImmunizationRequirement Assessment process. How to comply with the UC Immunization Requirements:1.
