WELCOME TO FIRST BAPTISTHappy Independence Day! This morning we celebrate together the giftof living in a free country where we can shout, “Jesus is Lord” and notbe prosecuted as a traitor. Though many have known retribution for thissimple statement, we can proclaim it from the rooftops, “Jesus is Lord!” Maywe never become complacent in this freedom, but exercise it often, singingand shouting the victory of Christ over all.But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dearbrothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work ofthe Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
