RAINBOW TURTLE CHARITY (SCOTTISH CHARITY NUMBER SC 034097)NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTSYEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 20221.ACCOUNTING POLICIES(a) The accounts have been prepared in accordance with TheCharities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006, and Statement ofRecommended Practice – Accounting and Reporting by Charities.(b) Income is credited in the Accounts on the day of receipt.2.CHARITY STATUSRainbow Turtle is recognised by H M Revenue and Customs and byOSCR as a charity under Scottish Charity Number SC034097.3.GRANTS RECEIVEDDuring the year, grants were received as below:From the LPA Funds, 8411, as a contribution towards the salary andexpenses of a part time education officer, who enables RainbowTurtle’s Fair Trade Education Project.Renfrewshire Council, 147.80 towards expenses for a schools’competition. This funding has been carried forward4. INVESTMENTRainbow Turtle holds 2 ordinary shares, representing 100% of theissued share capital of Rainbow Turtle Just Trading Ltd which isincorporated in Scotland.5. Management expenses now include a contribution to office rent ona monthly basis. A one off cost of 1000 was also paid for legalservices, whilst exploring a move to SCIO status
