And I would love to kind of divein right away by talking about the “I am” principal. You talk about how Neville and St. Germainreally kind of guided you to this notion of “I am that I am”. Can you describe kind of whathappened there for you and —Jennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. Wayne:Well, it was way before Neville. I’ll tell you it was way back about 1,300 years before the birthof Christ, back in the Tara in the Old Testament, in the book of Exodus where Moses, you knowthe baby who was supposed to be slayed by the order of the pharaoh, all newborn babieswere — males. And he was placed into a basket and floated down the aisle — the Nile rather. And captured there — and rescued by a woman who happened to be the pharaoh’s daughter. And raised as the pharaoh’s grandson, and then ultimately at the age of 18 or so he had anencounter with a soldier, killed him and had to run away in order to avoid being persecutedhimself by his own grandfather. And he was out in the Sinai walking one day some 40 or 50years later and he came across, according to the spiritual legend, a bush that was burning thatwas not being consumed, and it began to speak to Moses and ordered Moses to go and freehis own people, the Israelites. And Moses asks him, “who am I”, you know, who am I to go andfree these people. And the voice of God speaking, it’s the only place where God’s name isactually given, says, “My name is I am. That I am. And that shall be my name for all futuregenerations.” And that “I am” is a very, very important two words. Every time you use thewords “I am” you’re really saying the name of God. And it is my contention, and not just mine, but in this book particularly I’ve quoted a lot of people who say it, including Jesus in the NewTestament, that the name “I am” is the name of God and is the name given to all of us. Andthat each and every one of us are connected to this divine presence that we are God withinourselves. It’s out highest self.So that in the Old Testament it speaks very well and clear and says, “Let the weak man say, Iam strong.” So every time you use the words “I am” you’re using the name of God. So you’vegot to be careful about how you desecrate the name of God. You don’t want to say, “I amweak. I am poor. I am sad. I am depressed. I am unhappy.” And God did not say to Moses,my name is “I hope things work out.” Or “My name is I will be.” He said, “My name is I am.That I am.” When he says, “I am that. “ He is really saying, “I am in everything. There’s noplace that I am not. I am in the trees. I am in the flowers. I am in the beasts. I am in each andevery one of you. I am the light.” And so you too are a part of that. And I think rememberingto be able to say, “I am.” Is a very, very important thing that came across in a little book calledthe I Am Discourses many, many years ago. And I put it aside. I didn’t read it for a very longtime, and then I just picked it up one day. I was just called to do so, and it was deeply andprofoundly touching and life changing for me. And I began to use and respect this thing that Icall the “I am” presence that is in each and every one of us, and to use it in a way that nolonger desecrates the name of God, but in fact says that I am capable of doing all that God iscapable of doing and creating. That’s basically where it came from.Jennifer:So there’s this power within that “I am” statement. And not only knowing that I am — beingconscious as you said to where we’re using the name of God. Instead of claiming, “I am sick”we can invoke a new “I am.”Wayne:Yes, and we have to be able to do it. That’s really the essence of Wishes Fulfilled. It’s reallythe — it really begins with the whole idea of how we have been raised — all of us. I mean, there’s hardly a person listening out there anywhere who wasn’t raised to believe in theirordinariness, in the fact that they can only do so much, and what their limitations are.Certainly very few of us have ever been raised to believe that we are God. You know, that wein fact are. Not these bodies that we’re in. We have a tendency to believe that, you know, these bodies that we’re in and the accumulations that we have, and the accomplishments thatwe create and the reputations that we have, are basically who we are. But the fact is that whoJennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. All Rights Reserved.Page 3 of 28April 10, 2012Jennifer McLean Healing With The Masters

we are is, you know, when they asked Muktananda the great question, “What is real, master? What is real?” He said, “That is real which never changes.” So the body obviously — I don’tknow about yours, Jennifer, but mine is doing a whole lot of changing, okay. I’m in a 71‐year‐old body now, but I was in a 20‐year‐old body it seems like just a little while ago, and I can’tfind one cell of it anyplace. And yet who I was in the 20‐year‐old body believed that I was thisbody. And as I sit here now talking to you 50 years later I look at this body and I feel it and Itouch it and I experience it, and I say, “Okay, this is really who I am.” But that is real whichnever changes. There’s a birthless and a deathless and a changeless place that each and everyone of us live from, and it’s our spirit. And that body just keeps being occupied by new — by the same infinite intelligence over andover and over again. The body changes, but who I am never does. And that’s basically whatwe need to come to grips with is the recognition that we are not average. We are not justmediocre. We are not anything other than divine and grand and capable of manifesting andattracting anything that we place into our lives. So if you want to change anything in your life, you’ve got to first change your concept ofyourself. I was up in Minneapolis just a few months ago. My daughter lives up there and I wasswimming, and written on the side of the pool engraved right into the tile, I kept looking at thisstatement, and it said, “If you want to accomplish something, you must first expect it ofyourself.” And every time that I would go back, I kept thinking, that’s such a great — in fact Iused it on my PBS special. I kept thinking, that’s such an incredibly important significant thingto say. “What do I expect of myself?” Do I expect that I am limited? Do I expect that I cannotattract abundance, prosperity into my life? Do I expect that I can’t heal myself? You probably know, Jennifer, that I’ve been diagnosed with leukemia a couple of years ago.And there’s an I am that can go with that which says — that can say, “I am sick.” But I havelearned to turn that around and say something very different, that I am well. I am perfecthealth and I am attracting health into my life every single moment of my life rather than goingalong with a different statement and saying, you know, I am sick. I am unfortunate. I am sad.I am depressed, because of — you know, I don’t use the name of God anything in any wayother than to say, “I am capable of attracting anything I place into my attention, into myimagination, into my life.”Jennifer:And you talk about synchronicities too in the book. And it feels like that moment in the pool isanother moment of synchronicity that this saying that’s written on a pool ends up in your bookand in your PBS special, and —Wayne:Yes, exactly. And even the day that I went swimming there I wasn’t going to go, and thendecided to and I normally would keep my eyes closed in that kind of a pool, but there was apair of goggles that just happened to be by the side of the pool, and I grabbed them and putthem on and so I was able to read that. And I just kept thinking of that over and over again. What do I expect of myself? And the truth of it is that I expect healing. I expect healinghappiness. I expect to be in a divine relationship. I expect prosperity. I expect whatever it isthat I place my attention on is going to manifest for myself. And I know that I’m not doing thisthing alone. I know that the great, the universal I am, the oneness that is in all of us, is alwaysthere with me at all times.Jennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. Jennifer:So these are not mere words though. That I trust that all of these things, the I am’s that you’reclaiming are more than words that are happening here. There’s an energy behind them. Howdo we access the energy behind that word?Wayne:Well, it starts — it’s very simple. I have like five principals that I use in Wishes Fulfilled.Principals that are just so alarmingly simple and yet so profoundly accurate in being able to putinto practice a life of fulfillment, a life of manifestation. And it begins with an understandingthat the greatest gift that any of us have ever been given is the gift of our imagination. Andthis is the first and most important principal. After you understand that in order to changeanything about your life, you have to change your concept of yourself. And your concept ofyourself, and everybody needs to really hear this. Your concept of yourself — because peoplesay, “Well, I have a good concept.” and so on. What is a self‐concept? Your concept ofyourself is everything that you believe to be true about yourself. So if you want to — and everything you believe to be true about yourself has landed youwhere you are right now in your life. Whatever limitations there are. Whatever it is that isworking for you, or whatever it is that is not working for you, whatever your level of health, whatever your level of relationships, whatever — wherever you are. And if you’ve landed in aplace that we call ordinary, and would like to get to a place called extraordinary, you have tobe willing to change some things that you’ve come to believe are true. And these are the things that have been imposed upon us. These means that have beenhanded to us from the time that we were little boys and little girls about basically not onlywhat we can do, but basically even who we are. You have to almost shift your awarenessaway from a belief of who I am is a human being having a spiritual experience. You have toshift that. That’s not a truth. The truth that you have to begin to adopt is that who you are isthe reverse of that. Who you are is a spiritual being having a temporary human experience. You are infinite. You are an infinite being, a piece of God that is occupied since the time thatyou came into this world many, many bodies. You are in a little 10‐pound body. You were in a20‐pound body. You were in a 10‐year‐old body, a 20‐year‐old body, and who you are justkeeps occupying more and more bodies until ultimately you just shed the body that you haveand who you are continues on into infinity. Who you are is an infinite being. It’s very hard for us to buy into this, Jennifer, because we have been just convinced throughour conditioning process that who we are is what our senses tell us. And our senses are whatwe can touch and what we can feel and what we can smell and what we can hear. These are— and we believe that this is our reality. But let me just give everyone out there listening rightnow just a little exercise before we go into the dynamics of how to really use Wishes Fulfilledto attract things into your life. It’s like, just close your eyes. Wherever you are out there, just close your eyes for a minuteand try to just suspend all of your senses right now. Like you can’t see, so you’re — and youcan’t hear anything, so just go into a moment – a split second of silence and ask yourself at thismoment right now beyond my senses, who am I? And the fact is what you’ll do is you’ll comeup with — this is the only thing that you’ll come up with is who I am is an idea. It’s just an ideaabout who I am. You can’t see yourself. You can’t touch yourself. You can’t feel yourself. Youcan’t smell yourself. You can’t experience yourself. So who you are is just an idea. And thisJennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. All Rights Reserved.Page 5 of 28April 10, 2012Jennifer McLean Healing With The Masters

idea that who you are is infinite. And it’s basically your soul. And this is so significant. It’s likeyour soul is the part of you that is infinite. You know, you can get a hold of your body. You can get a hold of everything in your life, butthe part of you inside of you that is there processing this idea of who you are, this is infinite. Ifit was not infinite, it would be finite. And if it was finite, because finite is the opposite ofinfinite. So finite means it would begin and stop someplace. So you could get a hold of it andsay, “here it is.” Since you can’t touch it and experience it in anyway through your senses, it isinfinite. And so what does infinite really mean? Infinite means it doesn’t stop anyplace and itdoesn’t start anyplace, which means that it is constantly expanding. So the soul, the part of you that is who you are, your very essence as a human being, all itwants to do is expand. It doesn’t want to be stopped. It doesn’t want to be fenced in. Itdoesn’t want to be told what it can do and what it can’t do. It doesn’t want to be restricted inany way. It just simply want to expand. It wants to grow. And that part of you that hasallowed yourself not to do that is the part of you that is telling yourself how unhappy you are,or how depressed you are, or how sad you are, or how weak you are. So you want to begin topay attention to your soul. All it wants, all this invisibleness, all of this idea of who you are is,all it wants is to grow and to expand. This is your imagination, and this is the greatest gift that you’ve ever been given. And WilliamBlake the great poet once said, “Everything that now exists, was once imagined.” Whichmeans the corollary of that is, if you would like something new to exist, a new being, a newyou, a new idea of who you are, or a new romance, or a new job, or a new healing, whatever itmight be. If you would like that, if you understand that everything that now exists was onceimagined, everything that is — Jesus said it this way. “It’s the spirit that gives life. The fleshcounts for nothing.” So that which gives life, all it wants to do is expand. That’s all that itwants to do. So you’ve got to get yourself to a place where you understand that if there’ssomething that you would like to attract or create for yourself in your life, whatever it mightbe, you must first expect it of yourself, and you must first be able to imagine it. If you can’timagine it, you’re already out of the picture. There’s no possibility because everything comesfrom that invisible place within you that wants to expand. And that’s how Wishes Fulfilled begins. And that’s what this book is about. That’s what all ofthese products that you’ve offered that have — they showed me this incredible array ofproducts that they’re offering for an almost unbelievable price. I can’t even believe it myself. Ionly say that to you because of what you put together on these packages. With the DVDs andthe seminars, and the films, and the meditation, all of this is designed to get people torecognize the power that they have of their imagination. And the question that you asked me, and this long answer that I’m giving you, Jennifer, isreally about what — how does this become something more than just an idea. You start withan idea. Everything has to start with an idea. And then you have to do something that Nevillespeaks about that I spend a great deal of time writing about here in Wishes Fulfilled and in thisseminar that they’re offering here, in the film and everything else. And these are words thatyou want to tattoo onto the inside of your imagination into your forehead. They say, “Youmust learn to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled.” That’s one of the hardest lessons forpeople to learn is this is more than just an intellectual exercise. If you want to understandJennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. All Rights Reserved.Page 6 of 28April 10, 2012Jennifer McLean Healing With The Masters

something intellectually, what you do is you go to school and you sit before a professor or aschoolteacher and you analyze the information that is given. You look it up in the textbooksand you come up with hypothesis that other people have come up with. You come up withconclusions. You write a paper about it. You keep notes on it. You intellectualize about it.You analyze it. You discuss it and so on. If you want to understand something intellectually, that’s the process that you go through until you come up with a formula and say, “Okay. Thisis what it is.”If you want to understand something spiritually, you must experience it. And the only waythat you can experience what I’m speaking about here is through what you decide to placeinto your imagination in the way of a thought. And then you must experience it. Andexperiencing it means you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled. Whatever it is, whateverwish it is that you have, that you would like to attract into your life, no matter what it is, evenif your senses tell you that’s impossible. Even if your past experience and everybody that yourun into tells you that you can’t do these things, you must be able to say to yourself, “I am thatwhich I am feeling that, even though it hasn’t shown up yet in the physical world.” You haveto play this game with yourself, if you — you have to — it says in the Bible that He acts uponthings as if they all they existed, which is a very important line. It’s like you treat things as if they were already in existence even if they’re not already here. It’s a very important — that which you feel yourself to be, you are. This is from Neville. Andyou are given that which you are. So assume the feeling that would be yours would youalready be in position of your wish and possession, and your wish must be realized. So live inthe feeling of being the one you want to be and that you shall be.I’ll give you an example of how this works.Jennifer:Okay, please. Thank you.Wayne:I was at a mall a few years ago with two of my daughters, and I was getting ready actually forthe premier of the film The Shift, and this guy came up to me and he asked me a question. Hewas a very serious stutterer. He could barely get words out. And he said to me, “Is there — “he just kept stammering and stammering. And he said, “Is there any way that I could dosomething about this? I’ve stuttered since I was three years old, and I just don’t know if I canever get out of it.” His name was Vince. And I said to him, “Vince, I would like you to put intoyour imagination a statement that says I am free of stuttering. I am speaking well. Whateverit might be.” I said, “Can you do that?” And he hesitated and he paused for a long time and hesaid, “I don’t think so.” I said, “Well, then I can’t help you.” And I said, “And you can’t helpyourself.” I said, “You’ve got to be able to say, “I am stuttering free. I am in possession ofperfect speech, or however you want to describe it. Use the name of God to do that.” Soultimately I got him to say it, even though he stuttered it out, and he said, “Okay. I amstuttering free.” I said, I want you to — “How does that feel?” And finally he — I said, “Justexpress to me how it feels.” He said, “Well, it f‐f‐f‐f feels great.” I said, “You want to assumethat feeling of your wish already fulfilled every time the subject matter of your stutteringcomes up, no matter what it says on the Internet. No matter what everybody tells you.I did the same thing with my leukemia. I had people telling me — sending me informationabout how it’s incurable and they would send me — somebody would die of the kind ofJennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. leukemia that I have and they would send me an obituary notice of it. They did. There was avery famous actress, Jill Clayburgh, who just died of this same kind of — it’s called CLL that Ihave. It was like they would send me these kind of things. They would tell you — they wouldgive you all of the reasons why this — something can’t happen.I remember that I tell a funny story one time I had a little red mark on my chin from being outin the sun too much, and it was a little skin cancer thing. And I was going to have the thingremoved and I was going into the dermatologist’s office, and this woman I talked to — and Itold her what I was doing. She said, “Oh, that’s something.” She said, “I have a girlfriendwhose husband had that, and they had to cut his penis off.” I said, “I’ve just got a little bumpon my chin. I’m not going in to have my penis cut off.” She said, “No, it’s the same kind ofcancer that you have. That’s very dangerous.”Jennifer:Oh, my gosh. All right, so —Wayne:What I’m saying is you’ve got to be able to place into your imagination whatever it is. I did thisto Vince. I said it over and over and over again. This is a 39‐year‐old man who was working onthis. I heard from him just recently and he’s doing much, much better in his speech. Hedoesn’t stammer nearly as much. It’s sort of like that film, The King’s Speech. What I’m tryingto point out here is that assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled is really going to that placewithin yourself where you feel it in your body even though all of the evidence that you havecomes up to the contrary, you still hang on to that very strong inner feeling. And when you dothis, you attract into your life ultimately you begin to change the way that you look at things. And as you know, I’ve said it many times, when you change the way that you look at things, the things that you look at change. And then there’s a very, very important and powerful thing I’ll get to in a few moments after Igive you a chance to say something here, which is what you do — because if you’re listeningon the phone right now, I’m going to give you something in a few moments that you can dotoday to put this — literally put this into practice and begin to manifest the kind of person youwant to be and what you’d like to attract into your life tonight. When you go to be tonight, I’mgoing to give you something that you can very specifically do. There —Jennifer:Okay, so you covered — we talked about the five guides. You covered a couple of them. Youcovered imagination. You covered living from the end.Wayne:Right.Jennifer:You covered feeling it a little bit. We could probably go into that a little deeper. And the skintag — talked about keeping your attention directed.Wayne:Right. Keeping your attention directed. And so we’ll go to the other one. The other one tiesinto this whole business about feeling. And that is everything that we do, Jennifer, we don’treally do it — we don’t live our life with our conscious mind. It’s our subconscious mind thatreally controls almost everything that we do. I don’t know if you guys have noticed that orthink about this very much, but your conscious mind is the mind that you’re very much alertand aware of. It’s the mind that you use when you first put on a pair of ice skates and you hadto figure out how to stay on the ice without falling down. It was the mind that you used whenJennifer McLean’s Healing With The Masters: Vol. 9Guest: Wayne DyerCopyright 2012. All Rights Reserved.Page 8 of 28April 10, 2012Jennifer McLean Healing With The Masters

you trained yourself how to ride a bicycle for the first time. And you’d go for a little bit andthen you’d wobble and so on. It was the mind that you used when you went through all of thesteps in learning how to drive a car the very first time and how to slow it down enough, and ifyou were driving a standard shift, how to put the clutch in and balance it and so on. And untilultimately your conscious mind got so accustomed to doing things that it just was pushed intoyour subconscious mind. And in your subconscious mind that’s — now when you get in todrive a car and you go to work, you don’t think about, okay, where do I put the key, and whereshould I put my foot, and how much do I have to slow down before I turn into the driveway? And all of those kind of things. You don’t do any of that. You just go through your day and youget up and you basically get up in the morning and you brush your teeth, you go to thebathroom, and you take a shower, and you make a piece of toast, or you have a soufflé, orwhatever it is that you do. And all of this stuff you just do on automatic pilot. And the thing about your subconscious mind is that it gets impressed with how to change itwith your feelings. And it’s very difficult for people — for most people to change theirsubconscious mind, because it’s been so imprinted and so programmed to do things in acertain way, so that really changing habits is something that a lot of people have a great dealof difficulty with. If you want to be able to become a manifester and live from an I amperspective that I’m talking about here — a Wishes Fulfilled life, you’ve got to startreprogramming your subconscious mind. And your subconscious mind is that mind of yours that got — that was trained from the timethat you were a little boy and a little girl to believe in what you can’t do or what is impossibleor what the limitations are — how far you can go. I’m going to give you an example of thesubconscious mind how it has worked in my own life.I’m 71 years old. I was in the United States Navy from the time I was 18 until I was 22 — rightafter high school. And I went to school in Maryland called Radioman’s School, where I wasgoing to learn — one of the things that I had to learn was how to read Morse code — how totake it and how to deliver it. And so we would sit in this classroom and I learned what thealphabet is. And the alphabet goes — I’ll just give you a little bit of it. It’s da‐da‐da‐dit. That’s “A” through “L”, okay. You canplay this back, and I guarantee you won’t find an error in there. Now, the thing of it is Ihaven’t used Morse code in 53 years. I’ve had absolutely nothing to do with Morse code sinceI was 18 or 19 years of age. And yet, the subconscious programming is still there, and I can’tget it out. I mean, it doesn’t matter. I sit in a movie theater and there’s always that exit sign, you know, that you’re looking at. You’ll see it as dit‐da‐da‐da‐da‐da‐dit‐da. That’s exit. Andevery letter that I would look at. I would be taping it out. I will be some place with my kidsand I’ll be tapping things. They’ll say, “Dad, stop with the Morse code already.”So it’s like — I just want to say to all of you, you’ve got a lot of the same kind of programmingin your life. You’ve got the dit‐da‐da — I can’t do this. Da‐da‐da‐da‐dit — yes, I can’t do that. This is impossible. Da‐da‐da — you can’t make money doing these things. Da‐da‐da — youcan’t have this kind of a relationship. It’s like I have to be unhappy. I have to be depressed.Other people are in charge of me. And on and on and on and on goes the subconsciousprogramming that we have, and we have feelings about it. We absolutely believe these thingsto be true. And the truth of it is the only truth that you ne

And tonight we are so honored to welcome our very, very special guest, Dr. Wayne Dyer. Dr. Dyer is an international renowned author and speaker in the field of self‐development. He's the author of over 30 books, has created many audio programs and videos, and has appeared
